Got there at 530pm for early bird special ordered a house glass of red then told "SORRY WE ARE ALL OUT OF THE SPECIAL" for 7 dollars for 9oz. It is a Wed night Ru kidding me there are no people here.The next glass of wine was $14 dollars Ru kidding me!!!She goes to ask the bartender for a discount now it's $11 dollars should have gone to Earl's at that point.But ok we are here let's make the best of it but I did tell the server send one of your bus boys to the liquor store get a 10 dollar bottle of wine and keep people happy!it's a no brainer!We get the menu which is awful can't understand Italian soo I ask what is this salmon for 14 dollars? she said lovely it's cured so we order it! A co-worker of mine and myself had went on a good day out hiking and he is new to Prince George (PG) so I wanted to make sure he experienced a few of the eateries of the area. I had been to Betulla Burning a few times so it was on my list & did not disappoint. We each had a different type of pizza & local beer plus I had wine; you get a pair of Scissors to cut up your pizza. Service was great as well as unique atmosphere (see pics) Only 1 issue when we ordered a cheese appetizer with bread, cheese was fantastic (4 choices) but there was little bread (6-7 pieces for 2 people) and bread was not a good quality with lots of holes so asked for more bread which was lots and a good loaf (quality)....
Beautiful setting. Not very busy for a Saturday night. Menu is small, but that is ok with me. I made the mistake of ordering the Prosciutto Pizza. It was loaded with prosciutto which made it very unappealing - my stomach turns even thinking about it and I like meat. I removed all the prosciutto and then ate my now margarita pizza. I expected a quarter amount of the prosciutto on the pizza and expected that it would have been cooked at least a little bit with a bit of char on it. The pizza without the prosciutto was good, but nothing outstanding. The menu is overpriced for what you get. I travel a great deal and eat in really nice places and was really looking forward to eating in this restau...
Visited here once to pick up an order for lunch. I ordered the margherita and greens. While I waited for my order, the hostess seated me and served me a glass of water which was good on a hot day. Lots of seating, including a small outdoor patio which we discovered when my sister and I came back weeks later to try the indoor dining experience. We ordered the Quattro formaggio which was topped with grapes and balsamic vinegar. We were seated upstairs where you could look over the pizzas being dressed at the prep area and view the dough being tossed in the air. Bar seating in front of the pizza oven. We were there for lunch but I think anytime the sun is out you can enjoy a variety of drinks and food on their deck. Greenery for a little colour and the is deck off the back of the restaurant, a nice surprise. We had the share a pizza lunch option, with the salads. We had the chicken pizza that had a perfect amount of spice and sauce on a crust that was thick enough to hold the toppings but thin enough for perfection. Worth another visit to try more great items on the menu. Friendly and efficient service too.
Met with a local who recommended this place to us. We all had pizzas, mine was the margarita & was just perfect, great crust & delicious toppings. The man had chicken & was also good. We could not eat them all so have pizza to look forward to for lunch tomorrow. We shared a panna cotta for desert, seriously, one of the best panna cotta I've ever had. Friendly helpful staff, lovely ambience, we got to sit on the deck upstairs.
Having gone to Italy last summer, my fiancé was fired up when he heard about this place. They have a traditional pizza oven which had to be built inside the restaurant and which will exist here as long as the building does. It exceeded our expectations. It reminded us of the months before we were having Italian pizza in Rome. I am so happy that this exists in a place like Prince George. Definitely a must experience.
Had supper here while visiting friends in Prince George. The pizza was good, but not as exceptional as I might have expected for $20. The staff were quite friendly, but not well versed on the menu. The kids weren't impressed, but to be fair, I don't think they're targeting that age group, Would likely give it another try, but only if we don't have the kids along. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Decided late that wanted to go out. They were booked but managed to fit us in. Pizza was excellent but a little on the cold side by the time it got to our table. Spent too long waiting to get the greens added once removed from the oven. It's nice to be able to watch your pizza come in and out of the oven.
