Based on a word of mouth recommendation, we went for lunch after a walk on the trails in the area. Very small shop so keep your eyes peeled for their signage. Limited options are posted on a blackboard by the counter (specifically, choices are limited to burrito or taco dishes) and the staff were more than happy to explain and elaborate on the menu details and what was what. Hubs went for the pork burrito and I opted for the chicken and chorizo taco duo. We did a self-guided 'food tour' through Cumberland today, to sample as many restaurants as we could. After stopping at Biblio Taco, I didn't want to go any further. We each tried a chicken-chorizo taco - and it was WONDERFUL. Fresh and delicious, each of the ingredients stood out. Service was genuine, very friendlly, and welcoming - exactly the kind of place that makes you feel at home. We sat in the little chairs out on the sidewalk, and our food was brought right outside for us. Very reasonably priced, great value - Biblio holds its own against some of the best Mexican restaurants and food trucks in BC. Worth a trip to Cumberland from where-ever you are.
Cumberland is a wonderful small town on Vancouver Island near Comox and courtney. We were looking for a place to eat and ordered a Roasted Veggie Burrito and it was fantastic. The helpings are huge and the prices are reasonable.Waiters came to check on us 2x to see how we were doing. We ate outside on a patio table and it was great
a friend of mine told me the food was great here....so we went.....we adore Cumberland, so many places for food/beer......well, we went in.....sat down.......waited....and waited....the staff were all very busy...We had wanted to sit outside but they din't allow drinking there. I tried the beef burrito bowl at this restaurant and it was delicious! I also appreciated that all the hot sauces were gluten free, so I was able to sample each of them.
We loved this place! I had a butter chicken burrito which was way better than you might think. Very yummy. They do a whole lot of kids options too which is great!
