Biblio Taco - Tisch resevieren

Created in the location of the former Cumberland library hence the name of this restaurant a pun on the French word for library. The veggie burrito is my favourite it is packed (a mix of kale, sweet potatoes, corn, along with more conventional burrito fare like rice, refried beans and hot sauce). They are quite familiar with how to veganize it due to my family being regulars but in case someone new is on, you need to drop the mayo and cheese and add guacamloe. Most of their food is made on premises or sourced locally, they serve Abuelos organic corn chips, for example, which are made locally in the Comox Valley and they make their own fresh salsa and guacamole. We did a self-guided 'food tour' through Cumberland today, to sample as many restaurants as we could. After stopping at Biblio Taco, I didn't want to go any further. We each tried a chicken-chorizo taco - and it was WONDERFUL. Fresh and delicious, each of the ingredients stood out. Service was genuine, very friendlly, and welcoming - exactly the kind of place that makes you feel at home. We sat in the little chairs out on the sidewalk, and our food was brought right outside for us. Very reasonably priced, great value - Biblio holds its own against some of the best Mexican restaurants and food trucks in BC. Worth a trip to Cumberland from where-ever you are.

Cumberland is a wonderful small town on Vancouver Island near Comox and courtney. We were looking for a place to eat and ordered a Roasted Veggie Burrito and it was fantastic. Have been wanting to try this spot for months now and mad at ourselves for not getting there sooner. Cumberland Character location, friendly staff & amazing food. We both had pork burritos with guacamole. They were juicy and full of everything you'd want in a delicious fresh wrapped burrito.

Went by for some after biking tacos, ordered the taco platter that was explained as being a bit bigger and was wonderful, great flavours. The place is quite small but has great atmosphere, the service staff were very nice and friendly! would highly recommend this spot!
