Arrived at 5:30pm for an early dinner. Having visited this restaurant years before, I expected the same. I had a good experience in the past. The parking lot showed construction in progress with scaffolding over the sidewalk. The restaurant was open but very quiet. The buffet selection was quite disappointing. The big surprise was that although we arrived early for dinner, the selection looked as if they have been there for hours. Saddest sushi selections. I had difficulty finding anything to eat. If you opt for the all-you-can-eat option, hibachi is advertised as included in the price. However, if you take it out, they charge extra for hibachi, and it's significantly more per pound. This is the only buffet where I've experienced this. I recommend opening your food container and inspecting it carefully, as they will soon start stirring it with a spoon to see what’s hidden under the salad leaves. Big Apple Buffet offers a pleasant atmosphere and a wide variety of menu options, with prices typical for a Chinese buffet. However, my overall experience was disappointing. I visited mainly for the sushi, but unlike most places that clearly label raw and cooked sushi, this buffet had no such labels. When I asked a server, she was unable to identify which sushi was cooked. This lack of labeling extended to many other dishes as well. Additionally, the food was served cold and the service was below expectations.
The restaurant was very clean, and the kitchen was well-organized with everything in its proper place. Most of the staff were wearing masks, and I noticed the cook also had one on. They offer a wide variety of sushi options, and everything tasted fresh, especially the pink walker. It’s clear that the team is committed to providing a great dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious! Whenever I'm hungry, this is definitely the place I want to come to!

This place has went way down hill meanwhile prices have almost doubled. I'm not so much worried about pricing but the food quality was not good. Food was old and tasted funny. Best thing on the buffet was the watermelon and jello. Sadly this place will not be on our list to come back anymore. ? save your money and go else where. We are leaving hungry and spent $50 on three people and two drank water. Not including tip. ?

Esthetics were impressive along with the number of buffet tables. Thus the 3 stars. Unfortunately, the food quality did not exceed comparable establishments. For example, the egg drop soup was barely lukewarm, and watered down. The pepper-steak had little seasoning. The desserts were good, as any other restaurant.
As expected on a Monday night, the restaurant was pleasantly quiet. The grill and sushi stations were well-staffed, and each dish was flavorful and enjoyable. Although the variety could have been greater, given the national supply chain issues, they did a great job assembling a nice buffet.

I enjoyed my entire experience at Big Apple Buffet. Compared to other Chinese buffets, the flavors here were more balanced and not overly seasoned. I’d love to eat here every week! The only issue is that I wish they would change the lighting color in the dining area.
