Google kept suggesting this restaurant to me with notifications saying it would be a good fit. I decided to try the enchiladas suizas along with a side of fried black beans. They were quite delicious, though very rich with cheese and sour cream. I personally enjoy these toppings, but it was a bit much! My wife wasn't feeling well, and the staff was very accommodating about adjusting her meal. Having grown up in Southern California, I know that Mexican food tends to differ from place to place, but so far, the food I've had here is pretty close to what I'm used to. I have no major complaints and am looking forward to trying more dishes in the future.
My husband ordered the chicken burrito, which he enjoyed but found it wasn’t quite enough to fill him up. So, he ended up getting some carnitas tacos that came with three generous tacos. I opted for the birria tacos with cheese, and they were absolutely delicious! We also had the mango agua fresca and I tried the champurrado; both drinks were excellent and served right after we ordered.
The restaurant is a cozy little spot with limited seating, but it really has the charm of a small business that genuinely cares about its customers. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a quick meal!
Biggies is a tiny family owned Mexican restaurant on 37th street and Bergenline Avenue in Union City.I have been going here for years. For me it's the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. My wife who is Latina but not Mexican introduced me to Biggie's. We've been to many other Mexican restaurants but none are equal to Biggie's. It all starts with the artisanal tortillas which are superb.when you add the other quality ingredients, well you have the best Mexican food. The place is nothing to look at but don't let that deter you. This is superior Mexican food and you won't be disappointed.
One of my top three spots for Mexican cuisine outside of Bayonne is Biggies on Bergenline Ave in Union City. The flavors here are outstanding. The tostadas I had were incredible, and the green salsa was fantastic. Her handmade Quesadillas de carnitas were a burst of flavor. The limonada was just right—not too tart and not too sweet. We received great service, and the wait for our food was minimal. Although the parking lot can be challenging to find a spot in, it's well worth the effort to enjoy a meal here.

I have enjoyed the food here immensely, but unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this place. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine, this is definitely the restaurant to visit. The guacamole was incredibly tasty, and the bistec tacos and chorizo quesadilla were delightful. We dined in the restaurant, which allowed us to enjoy a variety of green and hot sauces. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.
Recommend. A popular local sit-down, casual Mexican Food shop for quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Including take out and local delivery options. Biggies has been our favorite for over 5 years. We even watch parades on Bergenline from our table while we eat. Great local bus transport right outside the door. Owner, management and staff are very helpful. The cooks are the best!!
The birria tacos are fantastic! I had been craving them for a while and finally decided to order from here. I'm really pleased with my choice and will definitely return. The service was excellent and very welcoming.
The food? Amazing. The atmosphere? Fantastic. The prices? Great. It's really enjoyable, and since I live nearby, I order from here all the time. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try!
