QR code menus, enough said.I understand it was necessary during COVID, and for places that only have a few options for food type, it's fine to still be QR code only. But sushi restaurants are not that kind of place. They have 100+ items, all similar in style and ingredients, so having a physical menu to compare rolls and options is extremely helpful. The online only menu means you have to constantly scroll up and down the page looking for what you want and trying to compare options, and it's honestly way more stressful than it's worth. Regarding sushi in the Ballard neighborhood, there are few options, let alone good ones. Billy Beach Sushi Bar stands tall above the rest. The food was excellent, and it is one of the few restaurants I've been to in Seattle that offers pressed oshi-zushi. The quality of the fish was high, and the portions were large, which justified the prices for me. The meal's highlight was the amaebi and the expertly battered fried heads. I will return here whenever I'm in the neighborhood and looking for quality sushi.
We opted for this sushi restaurant based on Yelp reviews. Very disappointed. The Yoshi's Sweet Kiss, and California roll did not taste good and were very dry. The Magic Dragon was tasted better but not enough to try this place again. We live .5 miles away and appreciated the quick ordering and delivery.

This place has the best happy hour! From 4 6pm, you can get a $3.50 beer and $10 chirashi bowl literally can't be beat. I used to love their potato sushi as well as a vegan option and wish they would bring it back!Chirashi Bowl
This was such a cute little sushi bar. The service was amazing and our waitress , Lilly, was super friendly and accommodating. Happy hour menu was great and very convenient. The food was delicious. Highly recommend coming here.
Billy Beach is my go to sushi place. It is a little pricey but I really love the staff and how laid back the atmosphere is. Your food comes out pretty quickly and it always tastes amazing. I'm a big fan of their tatakiFood: 5/5

Overall it is good! If you are able to make it for happy hour, highly recommend for Happy 5 Salmon or Tuna Nigiri. They are really good! Unfortunately they don’t have draft beer.
