Just opened in Valley Junction. Atmosphere reminded us of a place where we are from which gave us a family feel with some divided rooms but still opened up enough to feel like like your eating at a family members house. Service was the best we've ever had since being here in Des Moines and the food is equally the same. The Chef even made us some to amazing bruschetta that was not on the menu and we tried split pea and ham soup for the first time and loved that too! The owner also came over and chatted with us after our meal and told us the pictures on the wall are of her husbands family from Italy. I see a lot of lunch visits in the future. Four of us enjoyed lunch at Billy Vee's today. The special, lasagna, was homemade and filled with meat, cheese, and flavor. The accompanying salad went beyond the iceberg to include mixed greens, red tomato slices, cucumber, and carrot, with parmesan peppercorn dressing on the side. Our friend had a pizza while her husband had the Greek salad with blackened chicken; and both were pleased with their choices. The desserts sounded great; and we'll be back.
Food and service was awesome. Homemade feeling with a homemade flavor. I loved the setting, made me feel like I was eating at home. Everything made from scratch. Today's soup was split pea and ham. The best ever for a cold snowy day. We had pasta with homemade sausage. Along with pizza and half and half Italian sausage and beef sandwich. Tell your friends. Des Moines best hidden Italian restaurant.
First time at Billy Vee's. Made reservations for four and was thoughtfully accomodated when six arrived. Cozy and friendly setting. Food was fresh and savory...from a brie appetizer, italian wedding soup, deliscious salads, meatballs, pasta to the best margherita pizza we've ever had! Didn't have room for the decadent looking desserts. What a gem of a place in the heart of Panora!!
I love this place. The food is absolutely incredible, as is the service. Deb and Tara are very attentive and do such a great job. I love the Brie, I think it's the very best appetizer I've ever had. It's so good, even 3 picky kids will eat it! The Parma Rossi Gnocchi is my very favorite dish. I get it almost every time I eat there.
Thanks to Pam Chef for a fantastic friends dinner last night. First time at their new location; we all had different dishes and everyone loved everything: veal risotto, homemade lasagna, pork tenderloin special classic shrimp Alfredo. We’ll definitely be back!
Delicious and authentic food. It's been years since I've had an Italian beef. The prime rib was amazing. Large portions. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Very friendly staff. Well worth the drive from Des Moines.
Had a fantastic meal, the best! Service and food was excellent. Worth the drive from anywhere in Iowa! Surf and turf were fantastic, crab cakes delicious! Thank you for an enjoyable meal and time!
I have eaten Bill’s food numerous times. Always excellent food and service. Bill is as meticulous about is food as Pam is about the service.
