This tavern has an outdoor all weather deck plus indoor dining areas. 3 of us visited this establishment on a day when Adelaide's temperature reached 42C and the air conditioning was keeping the whole place at a comfortable temperature, our large meal arrived and then there was one of Adelaide's frequent power outages. There was enough natural light to dine by and the meals kept coming form the kitchen. Good generous serves and the salad bar was small but variedOK it was a heat wave but the staff could not be more helpful and attentive as the temperature rose, management informed us that they were about to invest thousands of dollars to install and emergency power supply in the event of furt...
Came here for lunch whilst working out in Birkenhead, Adelaide thanks to the terminal manger. <br/ <br/ It's a very nice pub located along the water. This place was very busy during lunch and that was a good sign. Then menu was pretty extensive but we all ordered seafood, I had the seafood platter. <br/ You have to order and pay at the bar, and they give you a number for the table to bring the food out to. <br/ <br/ They also have a free open Bain-Marie with salad<br/ And veggies which is included with the price of your main meal and is self serve which is a very nice addition.<br/ <br/ The seafood platter was great and included coffin bay oysters, prawns, calamari and fish fillet and chips....
I think the Birkenhead Tavern is my favourite place for a pub meal. The of the port was great. I had fish and chips with a beer. It was delicious the fish was cooked perfectly and the plate wasn’t overloaded with too many chips. The tartare sauce was just right adding to the grilled fish. Next time I think I’ll try the burger!
We had a lovely lunch with a group of 8 people. Every meal had was accompanied with comments of yum! I had the Marinated Lamb Fillet Greek Salad and it was beautiful. The staff were very attentive and the surroundings great for a relaxing lunch. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This is our local we can always rely on great food and service at a reasonable price. We often come her for the oysters and schnitzels. The views are great and we love coming here for a beverage in the warmer months!
Such a great place to eat, Awesome out door deck with beautiful outlook over the port river. great menu with heaps of variety, really good Salad bar and friendly staff. highly recommend.
They were so accomdating to my dietery needs with the cook making a seperate garlic sauce so will be back for sure !! Thanks see you again soon !

A part of me feels that this place has really jumped the gun with regards to the gentification of Port Adelaide.
