Came here for lunch whilst working out in Birkenhead, Adelaide thanks to the terminal manger. <br/ <br/ It's a very nice pub located along the water. This place was very busy during lunch and that was a good sign. Then menu was pretty extensive but we all ordered seafood, I had the seafood platter. <br/ You have to order and pay at the bar, and they give you a number for the table to bring the food out to. <br/ <br/ They also have a free open Bain-Marie with salad<br/ And veggies which is included with the price of your main meal and is self serve which is a very nice addition.<br/ <br/ The seafood platter was great and included coffin bay oysters, prawns, calamari and fish fillet and chips....
I think the Birkenhead Tavern is my favourite place for a pub meal. The of the port was great. I had fish and chips with a beer. It was delicious the fish was cooked perfectly and the plate wasn’t overloaded with too many chips. The tartare sauce was just right adding to the grilled fish. Next time I think I’ll try the burger!
Went here for lunch today, beautiful location with a great view of the port river. Customer service was lovely, didn't have to wait long for meals, which was amazing because it was really busy. We had the beef cheek and burger both very nice and fresh. Will return.
My Dad often frequents the tavern and has always enjoyed the food/service. He took me recently and we ordered the seafood platter which wasn't amazingg but an enjoyable meal still. The view and atmosphere outside were amazing and the service was friendly. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Great service, lovely location. Had a seafood platter and especially enjoyed the oysters, prawn skewers and squid. Not as impressed with the battered fish and chips, so it's very much down the middle. Enjoyed the salad bar as well I always love those!
Recommended by a local to try this out and glad I did. Generous serves with choices of the salad bar or roasted vegetables. I had the scotch fillet with mash and struggled to finish it.Lovely helpful staff, quick service and busy on a Tuesday night.
This is our local we can always rely on great food and service at a reasonable price. We often come her for the oysters and schnitzels. The views are great and we love coming here for a beverage in the warmer months!

Had the Wagyu rump steak. It was excellent. Cooked to perfection. Salad bar is of a high quality and staff were attentive and pleasant. Thank you!
