We decided to share the Dixie Mac and Cheese. Although it wasn’t as hot as we would have preferred, it was still delicious—rich, creamy, and with an excellent cheese pull. The noodles were a bit on the tough side, but it didn’t bother me too much. For our main courses, we ordered the Dixie Southern Chicken and Waffles with Raspberry and Honey Butter, along with a Half Rack of BBQ ribs. The ribs came with two sides: jalapeño cheddar mashed potatoes and onion rings. The portion sizes were impressive. The homemade sauces for the biscuits and bread pudding are a must-try, so be sure to eat in. The blackened catfish was perfectly seasoned, and the vegetables were fresh. The cheese grits were wonderfully cheesy, probably the best I've had in a long time. The shrimp Po' Boy sandwich was excellent; the shrimp were seasoned just right and fried to perfection, so they didn't fall out of the sandwich. For dessert, the apple cobbler à la mode was delicious. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the pandemic, and the portion sizes were good. I will definitely be returning!
Big BBQ in a fantastic location north of the Mason Dixon line. This was the southern food served with a smile. Anyone who works here was friendly and offered friendly service, although they did not “your waiter”. Bottomless sweet tea, fried green tomatoes, Jalapeño cheddar biscuit with honey butter, brisket, which was delicate, moist and tasteful, a pulled pig po boy who bite the stain and it served by Bourbon pecan pie hot with vanilla ice cream and a caramel drizzle. Biscuits Barbeque for Easter dinner. All right! The roast leg of lamb was like it came from my own oven. Delicious and generous. Yummy pages and the cookie was amazing with honey butter. Then Dessert came. We had Pecan Pie with homemade vanilla ice cream, chocolate turtles, and fresh peach bbler with homemade vanilla ice cream. The best food I had in a very, very long time. I can't wait until we get back to more delicacies. And the people there are so nice and accommodating. Very recommended.
Omg if you're a fried chicken lover or a souther girl at heart like I am, this place is a dream come true! I had the chicken n waffles w biscuit and sweet mash and hubby got the pulled pork and chicken wings. Every bite is beyond delicious! Tool a coconut custard bread pudding to go, I'm sure it will be amazing ingredients also. Service was fantastic also, the chef came out to explain one of the dishes himself when he heard me asking questions. My new fave fave place. Highly reccomnend!
I finally had the opportunity to visit this restaurant, and I was absolutely impressed by everything I tried! The food was fresh and delicious, and I highly recommend trying the biscuits and dessert — they are a must! I now have the entire menu on my to-do list because everything I ate was fantastic. I can't wait to return. You really should come and experience the wonderful food and hospitality for yourself!
Fantastic food, great takeout family combo meals and the food is worth every penny. My kids are Mac n cheese snobs now thanks to this place and their homemade desserts are out of this world. Fried chicken is always juicy and crisp made to order and all of their meats are so perfectly tender. If it wasn?t for their hidden gem status they?d been busier than a bagel shop on Sunday morning.
