this is the second layer of this fine afgani restaurant, and a third layer is to open in mclean, va with even more vegan options. I only ate one of the best meals I've ever had. I ordered the Qabuli combination plate and the kachaloo with mushrooms and sabzi lawaan. both dishes were perfectly seasoned, balanced, complicated tasteful, and each dish on the combination dish was spectacular! They have a large vegan menu and make sure to ask their server for recommended. the ambiente of this restaurant is very stylish and stylish and the service is 5 stars. make sure to make a reservation as this restaurant fills uo, also on Monday evenings. updated by previous review on 2019-10-14
We had expected a little more flavorful food. The eggplant appetizer was nice and the flatbread was delicious. But the two main dishes were so so. A Dahl with meat dumplings did not have a nice flavor (and as Indians, we know Dahl). The chicken saffron korma was pieces of breast meat with a little scant sauce over rice, not particularly flavorful. A shared desert was nice, white custard with rose water and pistachios. The Pinot Grigio was very good. Maybe we just ordered poorly and should have stuck to the lamb dishes
great eating with a lot of variety. try the vegetarian flight plate. if they want meat many options. the lauch and scaling dumps are worth trying and the tipping pattern plate. to dessert the cardamom cake. the weeping list is good, but something overpriced.
This place is excellent. The service from Zack was top tier. The food was fresh and hot. The Vegan Flight is outstanding. Salmon was grilled perfectly. The raspberry sorbet taste amazing. Can't wait to return. They have live music Friday nights.
