We booked dinner for 19:30 and arrived 20 minutes early, wanting to enjoy a drink in the garden first. After 20 minutes nobody had come to take our order so we had to walk back to the restaurant asking again. When we got to our table it again took 45 minutes before we received our starters. The location is beautiful and the food is also very nice. But somehow it seems service has slipped down over the years. We have been coming here since 2019 and usually loved the experience. But this year we were let down quite badly. After complaining about the slow service things improved quite a bit, but it should have been like that from the moment we arrived.
I have returned a few times for lunch and it has been consistently fresh food sourced locally. The menu and the (reasonably priced) wines represent the high quality of the Rhone region, and the hotel grounds are most relaxing. It helps that the service is multilingual. Great place for a good break. Food in the restaurant is magnificent, personnel is welcome and helpful. Chateau has a small park with several pools in it, a small football playground and a tennis court. You will get here only positive emotions indescribable charm of south France.
