shocking reaction of the chefs! yesterday visited and three of us ordered filet steak and asked that they be served “rare”. when cutting into our steaks, what came was "make good" with the waiter who brought her back into the kitchen....what happened next was shocking. the chef continued to cut the steaks into the half and decided that they were “even” and sent them back to us! we were left with steak bites on our plates, which were cut with got, white what a lot! this was very embarrassing, so unless it was forced to create a scene, we had no opportunity to eat our meals! rare steak should leave red juices on the plate, and like past restaurant owners/kitchen we are well equipped to cook st...
we are here for lunch today. we all had the menu del dia price at 15€ because the choices looked great. we wanted to sit outside, but when we had ordered ourselves, we decided it was too cold. it wasn't a problem for the employees who pulled us in without excitement. Grace and the other guy I didn't get his name) were just great. we all had the black pudding on a blind with goat cheese delicious. for a main dish we had ordered 2 thunfisch medium and a medium rare, and a Venison stew. both tuna were cooked perfectly on request, and the Venison stew. for dessert we had a heavenly sorrow, a chocolate mouse and a poched pears. all the courses were delicious. the waiting staff was friendly, helpf...
6 of us came for lunch today. We’ve always had a brilliant meal in previous years, but today was an exception. Starters were good, but the pork served for our main course was tough and chewy albeit tasty. We pointed this out to the owner and seemed to be ignored after that!It took ages for our desserts to be delivered and the tiramisu was unlike anything we’d ever seen. The sorbets were good, as was the ice cream.We had to wait ages for our bill, even after prompting.Sorry, Bistro Selene, we won’t be returning in a hurry.
