This restaurant in front of Orange Station is a pleasant discovery. Even if externally it would not be said, the place reserves a well-kept restaurant, well-prepared modern dishes and care in the planting; every ingredient or sauce is put in a reasoned way and is essential to the balance of the dish (in so many places I have noticed how the French tend to abuse various sauces and dippings that cover the main dish); consonant prices, excellent service and well-assorted wine paper. If you are in the neighborhood, to try compared to other citizens well more advertised but much more disappointing
I arrive from Italy at Orange Station, I have to wait for my husband at the station. So I start looking for a restaurant nearby. I choose the Bistrot Marius. At the same time, it was the only one that was open. I ask for a table for me and my daughter and we take us to the back, in a small shaded and very pleasant garden. Just like the person who received us. I expected a classic and traditional cuisine. But no, I was amazed when I received my plate; worthy of a large restaurant. One of the best restaurants in Orange. Living in Orange we visit Marius al least once a week, always enjoying the menu of the day or the not so typical French suggestions á la carte. The cook seems to love the job using fresh products, creating colourful plates with some oriental and Italian influences. The wonderful shaped 'platanes ' offer enough shade to endure the fine dishes being served by the friendly and very professional staff.
The frame is nice but a little noisy (normally out of the station). The managers and the staff are very nice and the bistro looks good even if we didn't eat here.The rates of the rooms are extremely low compared to the air conditioning and some equipment were damaged/defective. An intimate setting, from the entrance to the dessert of delicious flavors the products are fresh a real treat. The service at the top.A beautiful place to discover we will come back to taste the rest of the map. Bravo and thank you to the team for this delicious moment
Correct menu, apart from the lukewarm fish with the white wine that lacked freshness, on the other hand the red wine was very fresh, which is why I put three stars.
