We have been coming here for donkey's years. A kind of pilgrimage, 4-6 times per year and, lately, had noticed a disturbing trend for the worse.Trend that was unfortunately confirmed during our visit yesterday.The midday "menu" price has doubled and a glass of wine is no longer included in the package.There is no choice. Customers are offered one starter dish, one main dish and a choice of desserts.We took the plunge and had a stodgy Rattes potatoes salad with pine nuts.The spuds were overcooked and cut too large.The main dish (scallops with braised endives) was fine.The patisseries, which used to be the piece de resistance of this house were much too sweet and . So disappointed after knowing this place for a long time. It's such a nice place, in Juan Les Pins, away from the crown, on a nice but deserted terrace (at the time we were there).The prices are standard for a bistro belonging to a 5 star hotel, but the food is far from being 5 star. We ordered a heart of salmon and a cheese platter. The salmon turned out to be a smoked salmon and the cheese absolutely uninteresting, in fact my bet is that you can find both in the nearest supermarket (for 1/5 the price). The service is fine if you do not notice the hair that didn't belong to me found between my fork and my knife. The waitress tried to accommodate us with a selection of deserts, she'd better...
We wanted to return to this restaurant after an excellent dinner some years ago. Unfortunately, it has greatly changed and not at all comparable to the standard we experienced previously. The food was ordinary and the pasta dish I had was cold - I asked for it to be heated and although the plate came back very hot, the contents were barely heated. On the positive side, the dessert was good and the service was very good (although too quick for a relaxing dinner). There are many good restaurants in Juan where the standard of food is better and less expensive.
The restaurant that we had booked was unexpectedly closed and my wife remembered walking past this place during the day so we decided to try it. We were made welcome at once and sat outside in quiet away from the crowds. It was expensive at Euros 148 although this did include an after-dinner Armagnac.The quality of the fine-dining food was excellent and so was the friendly and efficient service No complaints at all. This was a case of paying for quality.

Been coming almost every Sunday this year for a buffet. Great selection of food and some amazing deserts. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by manageress deciding not to give us a table we reserved because one person couldn't make it to lunch. We were given a small table while the bigger one we originally reserved was empty for the duration of our lunch. Annoying considering we came on regular bases and spent hundreds on meals.
Had dinner her twice whilst staying at the hotel. This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent food and service. Take advantage of their set meny offer. It is really good. Breakfast service in the same restaurant is also OK, great service, but mediocre food offered, especially the scrambled eggs that I am pretty sure is made from egg powder. Little taste, full of water and grey color.
We ate here a couple of years ago and were impressed, so had no hesitation in choosing it again. We wish we hadn't. The menu is now less appealing and more limited (especially for vegitarians), and the service far less friendly and competent. It now seems more tables have been set, causing it to feel crowded. The result is an expensive meal that does not justify theprice tag
As always a very good welcome. There are many varieties in the entrances and desserts. Sunday brunch is excellent for taste buds and eyes. The Tea Time is correct and is part of the average luxury hotels.

Good quality and professional staff. Ideal for a brunch. The terrasse is very pleasant to be. Good choice also.
Menu is not enormous but classic French cuisine. Not cheap. Pastry chef is master!! Take two deserts !!!
