I usually love the Butter End, I tell people to go there all the time but I don't actually know if I'm going back now. The worker they had today was either stone out of his mind or so drunk he couldn't think straight. There was one person in line waiting for a cold brew, the worker came out and offered the customer the entire pitcher of cold brew, when the customer asked for a cup the worker offered him a cup without the coffee in it. He had to ask for the ice to be put in the cup, then the worker dumped half the cup on the counter. When I ordered a small drip coffee he went to the back for a good four minutes, comes back to ask me for alternative forms of payment and when I told him I haven...
The ONLY 24 spot in the downtown area of GR. You see, I'm a bit of an insomniac and due to the nature of my work, I'm awake at peculiar hours, sometimes starting my day at 3:30 a.m. If you're in the same boat, have no fear for this place is open to serve you. They produce a quality product and have a fair loyalty program in place (they're old-school and still use punched paper cards). The staff is fantastic, amicable, and incredibly hard-working. They often man the entire store solo, regardless of how busy it is, but it doesn't deter them from executing with speed. You will be in and out faster than any corporate coffee house. Come check out The Bitter End. You won't be sorry.
I need to go back, I'm sure I missed some art on the walls! And the drinks were worth several more such trips- i got a malted mocha shake and it was delicious. The place has a bring one take one book shelf and a smattering of games. There were a few patrons playing cards. Just my kind of place-I wish I lived closer so it could be my go- to spot! (24/7 coffee sounds just right for me).
I usually love this place, but this time my latte was only filled up about halfway up the cup and the rest was whipped cream. Very disappointing for the price!! This is unusual for this establishment, and the barista seemed really tired and disinterested too, so I could've just come at a bad time.

Such a nice alternative to the bar for large night get togethers. Always meet cool people and have the most random and interesting conversations. But the coffee is pretty inconsistent which is kind of a bummer.
Such a cozy little shop. I’ve only been once but the girl who helped me was so incredibly sweet and made my drink to perfection! Will definitely be back when in the area.
I go here after dnd every other week, I get the same thing every time, and it is the most relaxing part of my weekend
Same for 15 years but I like it. Great coffee bless the owners did great job staying afloat
