I’d like to give a shoutout to A.J., who seemed to be in charge of delivering freshly-made food to the waitstaff and checking orders for accuracy. He worked like a quarterback behind the counter—super efficient!
As for my meal, I ordered the classic bowl with a generous portion. I opted for a pancake instead of toast, but my only critique is that the pancake was a bit dry and the butter was cold, which wasn’t the best combo. Still, if that’s the only issue, Black Bear Diner is clearly doing an excellent job overall! The place was busy but ran like a well-oiled machine.

My first time dinning in the Black Bear Restaurant. It was ok. The environment was good, kinda unique theme for a restaurant. Parking maybe a bit issue when busy. Still it is in the bay area, DO NOT leave anything in your car anytime. Food was ok,nothing very special nor awful. Service was ok, but definitely can do better to make up more stars for the rating. Overall, 3.5stars.
The burger at Black Bear Diner looked very appealing, served with fries neatly arranged around it, though it was a bit overcooked. It seems there isn’t an option on the menu to choose your preferred burger doneness. On the bright side, the waitstaff were exceptional, and the service definitely outshined the food.
Great, but could do without the masks. I'm hearing impaired and had to kept looking at my brother for what the waitress/waiter said. My Hobo Omelette was proper. Kinda wish there was a beer menu vs bottomless mimosas.
