I wish I could say something positive but minutes before our reservation someone called me and canceled. He said he had just lost his entire staff. (If thatâs the case theyâve got bigger problems than a one-star review) Iâve heard great things about this place and was really looking forward to trying it but I guess if you make a reservation have a backup plan. Iâve worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and I get staffing issues, especially now, but if you really lost your whole staff you wouldnât be open and posting on Facebook as of yesterday. Pretty disappointed
Our server wasnât kind or attentive, I ordered a âBartenders Choiceâ and once it was delivered was curious what fruit was in the drink and the server just shrugged and walked away.. so weird. We also ordered the falafel naan wrap and only after it was delivered did the server tell us that they were out of naan so it was on a tortilla, they must have been out of falafel too because my tortilla was filled with mainly lettuce.
Food was delicious. The biscuits are a must have. Plain with the butter and jam, perfect. Next up get the jalapeno gold sauce smoked and flashed fried wings. Afterwards get the the Colorado steak and eggs. The mimosas are so strong gave me the needed sensation. Of course I went during brunch. Awesome experience and staff.
I ordered a burger and found the bread to filling ratio to be off. The wine selection was decent and the parmesan fries could use more parmesan tossed throughout. The chicken sandwich was good, but there was too much bread. The service at the table was mediocre, however, the host who seated us was very pleasant.

Lauren, the GM, was our server. She made our night. She was incredibly knowledgable about the menu, which was great since it was our first time there. Her fun personality had us laughing and really enjoying ourselves. The outdoor seating was great lots of shade on a hot summer night. We'll definitely be back.
Went for Sunday brunch. There was hardly anyone there and the service was so slow. Waited for about for our drinks. Food took about another after that and was lukewarm. Waiter wasnât super upbeat. Wonât be going back; thereâs so many other great Denver restaurant options.
Blackbird is a great local spot with a wide range of menu selections so it accommodates most tastes. Kids ate a large pepperoni pizza and adults enjoyed mussels and a burger. It's fairly priced for this day and age, service is not always super fast, but always pleasant...
Our waiter was a psychopath. Which would be fine, no one is perfect, but he also wasnât a very good waiter. Check for the dude with the lifeless stare and avoid his section at all costs.

Overall very mediocre, went for brunch and while the menu looked good the food just was barely average. Also pretty sure our server was very drunk
Food and service were great. Cocktails were spectacular. Got the beet salad and the steak frites. Canât wait to come back.
