I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I genuinely am worried about the food coming out of this restaurant. I ordered takeout sushi through skip, and the pickled ginger smelled terribly expired or rotten. I thought it might just be in my head, but when my husband walked by he started gagging and asking what the smell was. The salmon in my philadelphia roll was super pale in colour, along with an off smell, and had a blue sheen that could be wiped off of the edges (as in photo), which you wouldn’t have seen if the salmon had been freshly prepared. First time trying this place out tonight. We ordered quite a multitude of items. We were seated right away, drinks within a couple minutes, soup right after the drinks, and food within 10 minutes. Very efficient service and everything we ordered was excellent. Servers were very friendly, and attentive. Plates were cleared almost immediately. Can say that we will definitely be back. Callout to Blossom Sushi at the Rest Acres Plaza. They always have fantastic food whether you order a la carte or ayce. Recently, I ordered pickup and they had a different roll than the one I ordered. They called me immediately, and delivered the whole order for free (so three rolls instead of one only)! The food there has always been so fresh, delicious and the sashimi is one the freshest and I'm from Vancouver so I know my sushi!
