When we asked the kind hostess to dispose of some wrapping paper, she graciously obliged. But later, the rude hostess asked me to throw away a small box instead of taking it herself, insisting it wasn’t her responsibility. When we requested her name, she refused to provide it, and our request to see the manager met with just silent listening and no apology. This left us feeling disappointed, as it overshadowed the excellent service from our server.
Lastly, I noticed that the upholstery on the chairs could use some cleaning. Overall, I’m not sure if this was just an off day for Blue Door or if this reflects their usual standard of service.
We had a delightful birthday lunch. The menu is so varied it was difficult to make a decision. The food is high quality and so fresh. The dining room is charming and even on a Monday lunch was very crowded and bustling. When I made the reservation I stated that this was a birthday. Upon arriving I told the hostess and pointed out the birthday customer thinking the info would get to our waitress. We ordered a brownie for dessert which was warm and delicious however it arrived with no indication of any birthday celebration. A candle would have been nice. A bit disappointing.
I really want this place to get better and become a neighborhood gem but the food is just not commensurate with the price. This time I just picked what I thought was the least risky. And the service! It looked like one poor lady was doing it all. I know people are short staffed but I'm thinking pay people more and maybe they will work. The prices just keep going up and the service dropping. I think I'm done with this place for a while.
I had a reservation, but our table wasn't ready, which is understandable for a Sunday brunch. After waiting, the host tried to seat us at the first table by the door, which would have meant facing the backs of other patrons. We declined that option and ended up sitting at the bar, but unfortunately, the service and overall experience were disappointing.

The food was incredible and the service was good! It was a bit noisy, which is to be expected on a Sunday afternoon during brunch. I had to wait a little after my reservation to be seated, but that’s understandable since it depends on when other diners leave their tables. Overall, I was very satisfied!
The ambiance and decor of Blue Door created an inviting atmosphere as soon as we walked in. It was the ideal place for a ladies' lunch. The soups, salads, and sandwiches were all delicious, and the option to order a half sandwich with a salad or soup was a hit. The staff was friendly and welcoming!
Charming atmosphere that feels open and inviting, complemented by friendly staff. However, the food did not meet expectations. The egg and avocado benedict was more a haphazard mix of ingredients resting on a bed of arugula, rather than a thoughtfully prepared dish.
The food was quite disappointing and lacked flavor. I had to return my salad because it had an unpleasant texture that reminded me of sand. The tomato soup was a pale orange color and didn't look appealing at all. Additionally, the veggie burger was dry and bland.

Fantastic service, ambiance, and food. Less than 5 mins after we walked out, my phone rang. It was the manager informing us that someone in my party had left their phone at our table. Such an attentive and wonderful experience all around.
