We visited Blue Ice Gelato four times on my last time in Tucson. Ron the owner was extremely personable, telling us about the Italian method for making Gelato, explaining their pasteurization process, and recommending various flavors. We had been hoping for Pineapple and though they didn't have it that first time, he told us the next scheduled Pineapple date and we went back. In addition to a number of samples (Mango Basil stands out) I had four different flavors. I might have tried more but once I had a combo of Pineapple Coconut, there was no going back. This place was amazing! We were just visiting Tucson and tried this gelato place, then made a point to travel 20 min every night to get more! They had high-quality and interesting flavors. I love that a lot of their flavors change every 2 days. I definitely appreciate high-quality ice cream and gelato, and this place hit the mark!
The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming! The gelato is far more authentic than that of other popular spots. The prices are reasonable for the quality you receive. For the best experience, it’s ideal to get your order to go and enjoy it at one of the outdoor tables.

What a fantastic treat after our hike at Sabino Canyon! The vegan coconut sweet potato dish was incredible, and I’m not even vegan. My companion also had nothing but praise for the mint grapefruit sorbet.
We were in the area and thought a good Gelato would be great. We went inside, looked at the choices , waited , no one came out of the back area. Can't just wait, might as well leave. Maybe next time.
Absolutely delicious! The staff is friendly and let me sample a ton of flavors before I made my choice, which was a lot of fun. Plus, there are some charming little restaurants nearby!

Gelato is on point. Owners actually learned how to make it in Italy and they definitely got it right. Chocolate, butter pecan, pistachio, all the flavors are great.
