I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and indignation regarding the handling of my recent reservation. On April 19, 2026, I made a reservation for four sunbeds at your beach club for June 14, for which I paid a total of €400 in advance. To my surprise, only five days later, I received an email informing me that my reservation had been canceled due to overbooking issues on your end. This situation is already unacceptable in itself, as it demonstrates a clear lack of organization and reliability. The club itself is beautiful, but unfortunately the operators don’t seem to care about creating a true Ibiza vibe, ensuring guests have fun, or providing a great overall experience. The service staff come across as unmotivated and create a sense of stress and chaos that really disrupts the atmosphere—especially when they constantly walk across the dance floor every couple of minutes. I’m from Germany and this is my seventh vacation in Ibiza this year. I’d never been to Blue Marlin before and finally wanted to check it out. I reserved a table well in advance and already knew I wanted to treat myself to a 300-gram Wagyu ribeye. The waiter told me that, unfortunately, there was only a 600-gram cut left (busy day) and that she therefore couldn’t offer me a 300-g ribeye. I accepted that, but honestly, I didn’t understand it. Mainly Japanese fusion food, didn’t managed to take all the pics but we had the unagi roll was just as expected. Toro with foie sashimi was steep on the price and was served warm, totally disappointing. The other roll we had was also warmed, the best was probably the fries and Pedron peppers which can’t really go wrong. Llegamos y estábamos casi solos aunque se veían varios camareros algunos parados. Nos atendió un chico al que le pedimos 2 cañas y un agua. Después de esperar 15 minutos a sol porque habiendo sitio libre de sobra dijo que sombra no, no venía y estábamos poniéndonos ya rojos. Además, al preguntarle si podíamos estar en un sitio con sombra, nos preguntó que cuánto tiempo íbamos a estar y respondimos que 10-15 min, pero igualmente nos tuvimos que sentar en un sitio lleno de Sol. El camarero tras haber pedido ni se veía, nos asomamos… nada. Y me parece raro que tarde tanto en dar solo dos cañas y un agua y no venía.Nos fuimos. Increible.
Le Blue Marlin à Ibiza offre une très bonne cuisine et une ambiance vraiment sympa, idéale pour passer un bon moment. Malheureusement, le service n’est pas à la hauteur du lieu. Les serveurs nous ont parlé de manière peu agréable, plusieurs commandes ont été oubliées et l’attente pour les cocktails était assez longue. Petit détail surprenant : impossible d’avoir un Jamaican Mule, uniquement des Moscow Mule, alors que la différence est pourtant minime. Pour les prix pratiqués, c’est assez décevant et ça gâche un peu l’expérience globale.
Had an amazing experience with Blue Marlin Ibiza’s reservations team. A special thank you to Sara, who was incredibly helpful, professional, and accommodating throughout the whole process. Her communication was excellent, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly. It’s rare to come across that level of customer service, and it really made a difference. Looking forward to visiting soon — highly recommend!
Interesting seeing reviews when the venue was not even open for the season yet and was under construction, with photos of the venue and restaurant dishes from years ago. Quite a bit of review bombing going on here.
