My most recent experience at Blue Plate was getting a burger, which arrived medium rare. Apparently someone else at my table wanted rare, but their burger arrived with no pink at all. After explicitly requesting, it's got to be pink. The kitchen staff is all pretty new, and although they are working hard, they aren't listening to customer feedback that much. The management is doing great, and the servers are very sweet and thoughtful. Kitchen crew needs to get a clue. Yes, it rhymes because i am funny. Blue plate is kinda fancy, kinda pricey for what they serve, and kinda same as everyone else. We like the management, old family friends. I give a 4-star review because the kitchen needs help...
What a gem! This past weekend was our first time here and we would absolutely come back again! We were traveling and staying in Hudson, but were drawn to the amazing menu, so we went a little out of our way. It was so worth it! Not only was the food delicious, they had many options that worked with food allergies and preferences. An added bonus was the cozy bar/dining room downstairs with live music. This topped off a great night. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and friendly. We met both David, the owner and also the manager, and they could not have been nicer!
The food and drinks were delicious. I loved the Braised Short Rib Bolognese, the Upstate Old Fashion, and especially the Hot Fudge Sundae... Super delicious. The night time live Irish music was wonderful, I felt like I was transported to the past. Extremely enjoyable.
Quaint setting in a very Charmin's small town in New York. The service was great and excellent food choices. Very close to Mac-Hayden Theater. Note if handicap entrance needed ask the hostess to set up the ramp for the handicap entrance.

Unflavored food. The sweet potato and chickpea had no flavor at all. The beet salad the beets were hard and just arugula thrown in there with no dressing. The smashed potato had no salt.
under seasoned and over priced food. We were seated at a table that had already been reserved and had to be rushed out before they even fired our desert. Left disappointed.
Wonderful dining experience. Top notch quality in a quaint homey setting. Outstanding delicious food and friendly helpful service.
Great shiitake mushrooms risotto .. very creamy and flavory .. the bar was fun with live music! The violin guy is AMAZING
