What a gem! This past weekend was our first time here and we would absolutely come back again! We were traveling and staying in Hudson, but were drawn to the amazing menu, so we went a little out of our way. It was so worth it! Not only was the food delicious, they had many options that worked with food allergies and preferences. An added bonus was the cozy bar/dining room downstairs with live music. This topped off a great night. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and friendly. We met both David, the owner and also the manager, and they could not have been nicer!
I'm thrilled to see my hometown restaurant open once again! If you're in the mood for comfort food, definitely try the meatloaf, and make sure to save room for the hot sundae at the end—it's a must! If you're planning to come with a larger group, be aware that they don’t take reservations, and the tables are a bit on the small side. It can feel a bit cramped when they’re busy. My kids love drawing on the paper tablecloths, and we enjoy it too; it keeps us entertained while we wait. Don't forget to check out the lovely basement bar as well. Cheers!
The food was excellent. For the first time, my burger was cooked just the way I wanted it. I usually ask for medium rare, but it often arrives more on the medium to well-done side. However, the Blue Plate got it right! The atmosphere is delightful, and the wait staff is fantastic. I was also impressed that the head chef came to our table to check on how everything was, which added a nice personal touch. I will definitely be returning.
We visited charming Chatham for the final day of the film festival and capped off our day with dinner at the Blue Plate. It was simply exquisite. The waitstaff were gracious and attentive. For appetizers, we enjoyed calamari and a mango salad. My husband ordered the pork chop while I opted for the salmon as our main courses. It was truly a delightful experience! I highly recommend it. We can't say enough wonderful things about the Blue Plate! The cozy, country atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The comfort food is absolutely delicious, and the friendly staff makes us feel like we're part of the community. And let me tell you, their hot fudge sundae is the best we've ever had! We highly recommend this place, but please don’t take our table.
Unflavored food. The sweet potato and chickpea had no flavor at all. The beet salad the beets were hard and just arugula thrown in there with no dressing. The smashed potato had no salt.

I was a bit surprised to see them using their summer menu in mid-October, but the burger was quite good.
