We visited one evening at our mid-sized residential property and had a pleasant experience. The owner and his staff were extremely helpful. While a high-profile event was taking place in the restaurant, which meant that meals weren't being served in the bar, we enjoyed a few drinks with friends instead. They offered a good selection of wine and beer at reasonable prices. The pub is a perfect spot for those walking the Pennine Path or for dog walkers. We'll definitely return the next time we’re with friends. Thank you for your hospitality!

Fabulous home cooked food and large portions. We'd stopped going out for food as everywhere was ridiculously expensive but now we've found the Boatman's rest and their reasonable prices we are going to be regulars and can go out for meals again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

It's a very traditional northern local. The main bar in particular. The food is the typical menu you would expect, I had scampi and chips and the chips were really good.
