what a hidden gem this place is. there are two things I love to rate a restaurant (except eating). the quality of the coffee and the variety of the beer. this place does not disappoint in the variety and nature of the beer they brew. but the bonus is that they also distill their own ghosts. this is for another visit (after i uber there lol). Now there is not much choice with food, but that is not why they come here. they come here for the beer and sprite and that is eating to help their tasting. we ordered the cheese plate, which also had anti-Pesto goodies on it and we also had a pizza. the food was good. nice cooler place and would be much more beautiful to sit in the warmer months, especially outside in the beautiful outside area. they sometimes also have food truck options on site, which means that they don't use their pizzas that was a little disappointing as their pizzas have heard were delish. the beer selection was good and the barrels were also cool. beautiful vibe, but happy to have said that I was there, but not in a huge hurry to return.
a great little place, went on a Saturday afternoon, not a huge amount that was good. the personal is friendly and welcoming. the beers were good, and this week they had a wood-fired pizza truck in front with a few nice pizzas. if they like a stout, they try the fat santa, but at about 11% alcohol they will not have too many. the pilsner and the cloudy ipa went well down. I started crashing, I should have started with the lighter ones.
I visited boat rocker last night for her fundraiser for the Australian animal protection society. I'm not a huge beer girl, but both her celestial pfirsichbiere were incredible. they had the amazing idea of having a Mexican food truck on the ground that made for an incredibly funny evening. but the best part? they are pet friendly and I have made friends with many dogs and their owners. will definitely visit again. Food was great and the staff were very friendly. We loved their range of adventures us beers that were perfectly on style. The atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday lunch and they accommodated our vegan gluten-free friend brilliantly.
Boatrocker was an absolutely fantastic venue, and the food and drinks were outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a better day, and we've received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback about Boatrocker as a location!
Went for Canada Day. Which they nailed!! Great poutine and Canadian cocktails. Great and friendly staff and good beers
