Went for lunch on Saturday and 5 of us enjoyed grazing on the share plates as the hours passed. Calamari,soft shell crab,patatas bravos,chorizo etc all great.We had an issue with an order during the day that was lost and not ordered. Unfortunately the guy in charge,(or I hope not for their sake) didn't handle our enquiry well at all. He kept saying he was trying his best instead of actually sorting this out.Eventually the waitress apologized for her mistake(which was fine) but it could of been sorted out without hiding from the error in the first place. After strolling around the board walk we ventured along the wharf. We were looking for somewhere easy for a quick lunch. Our eyes were drawn to The Boat Shed's lunch special-a set menu with a beer and main. There is also another lunch special with more options for those who want to try more dishes. The waitress that served us was super friendly and welcoming. I had the mussels and my husband had the steak which we both enjoyed. The restaurant has different seating styles with little booths which is cute. It was a lovely pit stop for us.
We had a delicious dinner at Boatshed. We had to wait for a few minutes for a table but the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had scallops ( could have been warmer) and the Boatshed chicken wings to start followed by red emperor fish and the lamb salad. All were really tasty - empty plates all round. The wine list was reasonably priced and there was a good selection of cocktails and mocktails. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants reasonably priced yummy food
We came back from a cruise to the reef and were really hungry. The food is excellent, we crushed the T-Bone and our favorite are the Chocolate Cream Airbags. But it was all topped with the best service from the sweetest waitress in the place. She helped us choosing the right meals to our liking, her recommendations were spot on and she was a lot of fun to talk to.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés par hasard dans ce restaurant en marchant le long de l'esplanade. Nous ne regrettons pas ! Service attentionné, jeune et dynamique ; une cuisine fraîche à des prix raisonnables ; superbe atmosphère et décoration !Amis français, ne manquez pas le Boatshed pendant votre passage à Cairns !
This place is on the marina at Cairns. We went there for dinner and the atmosphere, food, and service were all excellent. A real gem here is they offer mini deserts for $5, and that's so good that you can have just something very small to finish off a great meal. They do of course offer regular deserts as well.
This was a surprisingly good meal. We stumbled upon the resturnat while walking the Esplanade. They could seat our large party so we rolled the dice. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Steaks and Fish were the big winners. It was our server's first night and she did a great job. Would go back for sure.
Visited this restaurant recently with another couple. A great location. My wife and I ordered the lamb share meal. It was truly awesome and we will do this again soon. The service was prompt and pleasant. Price was reasonable. A thoroughly enjoyable night.

Es un lugar muy lindo sobre la rambla del puerto, con exelente ubicación, fuimos en marzo cuando todavía hacia calor al estar sobre el puerto corre una suave brisa fresca que hace del lugar un lugar muy placentero.
Good value happy hour on a Friday night, good assortment of menu items for share plates etc. Nice atmosphere!
