The restaurant in Cross Lanes, WV was busy and short-handed. However, our waitress was the best. She was also training a new waitress. A table of senior ladies was giving our waitress a really unnecessary, hard time just because an egg was cooked wrong. This waitress was very nice to the ladies and stayed very calm. Of course the trainee was nervous but they waitress explained to her to just stay cool and calm. The ladies giving her a hard time were loud and rude. Everyone in this section heard everything. My husband and I were Christmas shopping all day. We stopped at Bob Evans for a bite before finally heading home. We didn't realize that it was almost closing time. We were seated, never told about the time. Everybody was absolutely wonderful! The meal was delicious and made perfectly. We didn't realize they were closing until we were in our car and saw them lock up and the staff leaving. We were there about 30 minutes past closing time. Absolutely wonderful staff and food. In fact, we ordered our Christmas dinner here for the first time and it was PERFECT!
Missed the xit to go to the BobEvans.. Closer to the farm ..so we stopped at the next one...it was really good..we haven't ate all day an was on our way back 2NC so it was a wonderful visit..my friend alex is originally from Cuba .. an all the way up the road I talked about stopping by their on our way home..he really enjoyed it an loveds his meal...i got the peppered bacon and maple syrup..omg..it was awesome..i ordered the whole hog with 1french toast&1pan cake..it was really delicious.. Simply fantastic. I've went last week and I forgot to review. But every bit of our food was perfect and just the right amount where we weren't too full afterwards. I got the slow-roasted pot roast with banana bread, side salad and strawberry lemonade. My husband got the country fried steak with green beans French fries and rolls. It was a really enjoyable lunch date. We were talking about the food the whole way home. Service: Dine in
The staff was helpful and friendly. I know they were anxious to get home to their own families since it was Christmas Eve yet they were very patient and kind to our large family gathering that went in just a couple hours before closing time. The service was great and the food was delicious. Hope they all finally went home and enjoyed a wonderful holiday with their own families
This restaurant has undergone a significant transformation. We stopped visiting about a year ago due to poor service. However, a few months back, the new manager welcomed us and assured us that things would improve—and they truly have. Corey, our server, was fantastic!
