Bob Jo's Frozen Custard

I've always loved visiting Bob Jo's for their Frozen Custard; it's been a cherished part of my life. My parents took me there when I was a child, and now I continue the tradition with my own kids. It's a regular stop whenever my brother visits from California, and we've been there almost every day since last week. Bob Jo's is the original Frozen Custard spot in this area, and all other places are just following in their footsteps. We were definitely not disappointed; they consistently serve a high-quality product. My brother had his usual Vanilla Custard while I indulged in a rich Chocolate Custard. It was definitely worth the 30-minute drive for my first experience at Bob Jo's Custard. The roasted coconut flavor was absolutely delightful! Having been born over 65 years ago in Melvindale and having visited Downriver only a few times, I had no idea this hidden gem was even in existence! I will definitely be coming back.

I'm in my 60's and have enjoyed Bob Jo's for EVERY YEAR of my 60's. The best frozen custard ever. It's a family tradition my children and now my grandchildren love.

The custard is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. Although the lines can be long due to their popularity, they move quickly.
