In my opinion, Bobby Chez is the clear winner when it comes to crab cakes. Whenever I'm in South Jersey, I always make a point to order seafood from here. I specifically choose the Collingswood location since I grew up in the area and my parents still live nearby. During my visits, this is my go-to spot. I've tried a variety of dishes from this location, including fried shrimp, oysters, clams, broiled flounder stuffed shrimp, and of course, the renowned crab cakes. This place has been around forever yet the food is as good as it was the first week it opened. We went into the Collingswood store early Sunday morning and we were probably the first customers of the day. There was a gentleman behind the counter and I apologize for not getting his name. He literally was a mountain of a man. Sequoia like in stature but he was so kind. He was busy setting up for the day and he took the time to just chat and his love for food was obvious. So much so we ended up taking hone way more food than we went In there to get. It was all good and I just want to make sure this gentleman gets some type of recognition for what he did. Thank you
The food was good, but I found it quite expensive. It's frustrating that they charge extra for condiments, which really should be included with the meal, especially considering how much we’re already spending. It feels unfair to ask customers to pay even more for these extras. Such a disappointing experience!
When you want great food quickly this is the place to go. Better alternative to McDonald's chicken nuggets every time. The chicken strip take out meal at Bobby Chez is actually priced lower than a 10 piece. And the food is 100% better!
