Bob's shrimp. This little dive in East Chicago Indiana really throws something Jumbo Shrimp. With a rather thin menu, they make fried American seafood perfection. That no nonsense cash only cashier/chea is feist and and tosses/prepared orders during taking orders and cash people out, never fail, a joke and a smile. The texture of the Jumbo shrimp was a little resistance to any bite but melt in your mouth beautiful white shrimp texture. The dough stretches completely and carefully around the yarn with precision and precision. The tartar sauce was delicious and creamy with tar pieces to keep it interesting. It is a good meal for a good price considering the market. Bravo Bob! I'm a fan!
My husband introduced me to this place when we started 20 years ago. It was our place for fried shrimps. We often go there. It was always good. We went last week and the portions, and freshness wasn't the same. Many restaurants make setbacks and increase their prices. I understand prices are rising, but not falling back. It just doesn't make customers want to go back. Hopefully next time it's as good as ever and that was just a bad day.
Absolutely amazing shrimps. Their sauce is also very good and unique. No traditional midwest BBQ sauce. Only negitiv is the parking lot is not friendly to truck. Small and busy by all their customers. Definitely an order and go. No din in options, but that's through design, so I don't think it's against them. The food is brilliant, and it is another iconic food compound of the region that stood the test of time. Try to see why yourself.
Shrimp are big and good. Personally not a big fan of the cocktail sauce they have. The lady working definitely isn't the nicest person I've ever come across but it is what it is.
