Left pretty disappointed after reading the reviews and visiting here for our first night in SC, restaurant was full which was encouraging and had to wait at the bar for a table, genuine atmosphere, house wine from a barrel etc. However, the meal felt rushed, service was very fleeting, we ordered the goat's cheese as a starter, and were brought a large portion instead of being asked whether we wanted large or small, which was annoying because it was not good. Had to ask for the mojo that came with our potatoes, which was thin and too oily, and the cod came out lukewarm but was the nicest dish, with a good sauce. Table bread not special. El puntero es (creo) el único guachinche que queda en Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Es un local pequeño que al entrar te encuentras con la barra y un pasillo que te lleva a una pequeña sala con unas pocas mesas para disfrutar de la mejor cocina canaria de la ciudad y en concreto del mejor pescado. Aunque al mediodía suele tener bastante gente a la hora de cenar no hay problema para conseguir mesa. Este lugar es exclusivamente para comer bien y barato, asique el café hay que tomarlo en otro sitio. Pero merece mucho la pena, muy buena comida, ambiente familiar, como si estuvieras en la cantina de un pueblecito Pero en el centro de Santa Cruz.

Me encantó La comida buenísima, el pescado delicioso (el primer sitio donde mis hijos han pedido más pescado) el trato cariñoso, muy buen precio. El sitio es pequeño, muy pequeño, puede que tengas que esperar... hazlo, merece la pena

El pulpo, el mero, la ensalada, los tollos, las sardinas asadas..., el chico que atiende es muy amable y atento. El lugar merece la pena: las sillas de madera, el mantel a cuadros... Te sientes como si estuvieras veraneando. ¡Genial! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

La verdad que ya me habían dicho todo bueno pero ir y probarlo ha sido un acierto. Nos ha gustado todo y la calidad inmejorable. Preguntar siempre por el fuera de carta porque está buenísimo y fresco el pescadito

Camarones sí o sí. El pulpo, riquísimo. Media ración de garbanzas, ensalada y un trozo de cherne guisado, nuestra elección. Cerveza Dorada para beber y huevos moles con gofio de postre.
