We were doing a driving tour of La Palma and decided to stop for lunch after visiting the Mirador, La Cumbrecita. This little roadside restaurant is on the road South of El Paso. Very unassuming, charming owner and a great little lunch of : Carpaccio, Grilled Goats Cheese, Canarian Potatoes and a glass of local white wine. 23.86 Euro for two. Just delicious and a lovely resting point.
We have been here a couple of times. The menue is in spanish, english and german. The staff is very friendly and quick in taking your order. The qualtiy of the food is well above the normal traditional canary restaurant in La Palma. Well worth a stop on your way across La Palma.
On first look it doesn't seem much but the service is good and fast. It feels very personal and honest. The food is nice and the portions are good. The dessert was homemade and as a friendly goodby you'll get a little (also homemade cake) for the way home.
This place has recently changed hands and as a result hugely improved. The steak I had was excellent quality and the staff are really friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend as it is excellent value for the quality of the food. We will return!
I recommend the sailor risotto, from which you start until you finish delighting in variety of marine pieces. Although in the image you see little amount, it is a good ration for a person.
Loved their attention to detail, hot crusty bread, warm cognac glasses. Easy to follow Canarian menu, great service, cooked perfectly. We will return. BTW The wine is excellent Tahonero.
The best meal we have had in La Palma. Everything wonderful with extremely attentive service and delightful food. Do not be put off by location the meal will exceed expectations
We had diner here twice and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, tapas are really good, the fish was super and the goat as well. The service very friendly and fast.
