I have to admit to having a favourite restaurant and it is this one. Over the years Neil and I have travelled a lot and eat out regularly. Even when we are in St Gilles we like to try different eating places, according to the occasion. It is, however, back to The Boisvinet that we come, especially for special occasions, because they never disappoint us. We are just so well cared for. High level of respect coupled with a warm welcome as if we are family coming home. The menu still has many of the long included items, some would say too long. Bel endroit et. Accueil stylé. Une 40ne de couverts. Une table dernière nous très bruyante. Jolie présentation de la table. Serviettes ds un coulant très design. Réservé pour 19h 30 l'entrée est arrivée à 20h. Une tarte aux tomates : portion congrue de tomates cerise. Le poisson et le tian excellents. La ou çela se gâte c'est l'attente après le plat principal. Presque 1h pour débarrasser nos assiettes et servir le dessert. L'excuse c'est la mise en place des assiettes : un plat de fromages et une crème aux œufs. Certes ce doit être très long à dresser. A environ 30€ le menu ( Sans le vin). Environ 2h1/2 sur place. A éviter avec des enfants.

Nous avons passé un bon moment dans cet établissement. La carte est restreinte et les plats de bonne qualités. C'est un système de menus donc attention aux petits appétits même si les portions ne sont pas gargantuesque, vous devriez facilement arriver à terme de votre menu 3 services. La patronne vous explique clairement vos choix et s'applique à vous conseiller sur le choix de votre vin. Attention quand même à ne pas trop faire attendre les clients entre chaque plat sinon la soirée risque de ne plus en finir. Je recommande vivement car en plus les tables en entrant à gauche donne une vue sur la mer!!

There were only 4 tables of 2 in tonight, but the waiter took special care of each couple and was genuinely interested in each. I gave him a Huon Pine mouse - the wood is unique in the world, growing only in Tasmania. My husband chose the vegetarian 'menu', while I had the sardines (exquisite) and then the duckling. The peach dessert was also beautiful, as was my husband's cheese plate - well balanced. The decor is elegant, and even though we'd had a 'big lunch' at noon the portions and flavours were just right. Nous sommes allés en couple dans ce restaurant au décor chaleureux et cosy. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Le service est digne d'un restaurant gastronomique avec un menu excellent à 29,50 euros. La cuisine est savoureuse avec des produits de qualité. L'espace est suffisant pour garder son intimité! Nous y retournerons sans aucune hésitation !

Ok, I consider myself as a local because I have a summer house since 2000, so the owner, the cook, the server, are all superb! Food is great and the customer feels great! Aussi le vin, le prix, c'est ce qu'il faut! Touriste ou local, sans problèmes!

Friendly staff, very enjoyable meal with seasonal ingredients, nicely cooked and well presented. Interesting loos, where the walls had been painted with blackboard paint and chalks were available to leave your comments.
