During our hike in the appenzell mountains we decided to stay here. It was off season and we arrived early evening after a day long hike. It was amazing to sit down in front of the house to have a beer and enjoy the calmness and the great view. We then decided to check in when we got 2 rooms instead of one what was very convenient as we were a group of six. The shower unfortunately cost money but I guess that's needed for such a place in the mountains. We then went for dinner and enjoyed a Fantastic side salad and a massive rösti. Wir gingen nach der Wanderung zu Mittag und waren enttäuscht. Die Kellnerin eine ältere Dame, die sich um uns kümmern sollte, war wirklich unhöflich und arrogant. Sie konnte wahrscheinlich nicht englisch sprechen, aber als wir es mit unserem gebrochenen Deutsch versuchten, gab sie vor, nicht zu verstehen. Sie hatte die ganze Zeit ein saures Gesicht. Das Essen war teuer und gesaugt. Es war wirklich fettig und wir fühlten uns danach etwas krank.. Würde es nicht empfehlen, Geld dort zu verbringen. Zimmer: 5 Service: 1 Ort: 5
When we arrived on the terrace, we were not registered by the waiter. We then actively asked for an order and even got a short nod. Unfortunately we were skilfully and very obviously ignored several times and after about 12 minutes we left the terrace shaking our heads. It's a pity, that wasn't a nice experience for us and I hope, for the operator of this location, that it was only due to the bad mood of a single employee on the day. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1
We hiked only for a day and passed by this very nicely located guest house in the mountains of Appenzell. It's literally in between huge, (gigantic), (massive) mountains and behind it is a calm and cold lake..OMG! This is really a must-visit place. The food is very tasty, but too expensive for a restaurant with road access. The service, on the other hand, was extremely unfriendly, we were snapped at because their card reader apparently had no reception. Service: 1 Location: 4

Nettes Personal, gemütliches Restaurant. Wir waren Ende der Saison, weshalb es nur eine kleine Karte gab.
