Thursday evening meal whilst away visiting York City Centre with the ball and Chain. Lovely greeting for a ‘walk in’ guest during a busy period for the restaurant. Was appreciated. Sat immediately and provided menus. However, ordered a starter of meat sharing platter and then shared a Thali between 2. Excellent food, Perfect portion sizes, lovely variation in flavours and excellent value for money, for the food. One critique would be the price of the alcohol. Very expensive at 6/7 quid for a beer/cider and expensive for a soft drink. Decor was nice and modern, looked very clean. For anyone who loves Indian food then Bombay Spice should be on your list of restaurants to visit. Not only do you get amazing choice of food, you also get fantastic meals, served by staff who are friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic experience. There were 10 of us in for a Birthday party, once the drinks had been served all the food for all 10 people arrived together. Amazing service.
Went with friends that have been going there for years. Really friendly attentive staff. Nice surroundings and atmosphere. Immaculately clean and well kept. Food was superb everyone really happy with meals. A definately going again soon. Highly recommended
We just visited york and found this absolute gem!! Very posh and upper class decor, staff amazing, food was top level. Price was great also, would highly recommended and is also open until late!

We went in here for a spontaneous visit and we were so glad we did. Food was amazing. Served piping hot and the food was very fresh and flavoursome. Definitely worth a visit.
Had the Saturday lunch time special but you would never have guessed. Superb food with great presentation and a bargain price can't recommend highly enough.
Excellent Indian food with good heat when ordered hot. Well cooked lamb. Nicely done naan. I’d recommend this as an excellent choice for Indian food.
