We took the tasting from the menu, though a bit on pricey side, it was so worth it. If you are entertaining business clients, or out on that special date it is a ideal selection. The 6 courses were small in size but excellent in presentation and taste. The service from the staff was top notch from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is that of old town Montreal in a quiet personable setting. The tables are small as is the overall space. It keeps things intimate, you won't be short of space. There is a a complimentary coat check if needed. They offered to take my coat as I walked in. I highly recommend this restaurant for an exquisite night out.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We both enjoyed the duck breast, which was beautifully presented with a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables. The sauce was light and sweet, just the right amount. We treated ourselves to a grand matinee soufflé for dessert, and it was incredibly light and delicious. Despite the restaurant filling up, the noise level remained low. We had read that this was one of the best restaurants in Montreal, and this meal definitely confirmed that reputation.
I have had an exceptional experience every time I have dined at Bonaparte. As a loyal customer for over 15 years, it has become my top choice for business dinners, events, and personal meals. The consistently high quality of the food is unmatched, and the staff are truly extraordinary. Each member of the team embodies the spirit of the restaurant as if it were their own. Despite dining at top restaurants around the world, Bonaparte remains my all-time favorite.
We did have the tasting menu with wine pairing. What an amazing experience that was. The food was delicious and the wine pairing couldn’t have been better. On top of the excellent food, our server was over the top. Extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. She is truly an asset to the restaurant. I wish I would have her name because when we come back, I would only want to have her serve us. Hands down, best server ever!!

Server was outstanding. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was very good but probably price was slightly high for what you got. All food was good and small portions in keeping with the theme. I just think they could have done it at about of the price
I have been frequenting this restaurant for 35 years. The quality and flavors of the dishes remain top-notch. Not to mention the service, discreet and impeccable. One of the best French cuisine establishments in Montreal!
The food and service were outstanding. The menu offered so many options, we decided to return for another night (even with all of the great dining spots in Old Montreal).
