I entered through the side door by the bar. I stood there for 8 minutes before anyone asked me if I needed any assistance. Although my back was to the dining area, I watched 2 waitresses, in a mirror on the bar wall, look at me twice. Neither of those women asked me if I needed assistance. I had to ask if there were any specials. I placed my order and went home, I ordered a white beans meal and pasta jambalaya meal. The white beans were good but salty. They had a nice flavor, but the bean to rice ratio was completely off. It was as if I were eating bean soup. I was a bit disappointed with you with the jambalaya pasta. The flavor is fine, but I DO NOT like spaghetti noodles for this dish. It'...
Desiree was our server and she’s thoughtful and takes the initiative. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip for an appetizer. I had the Ahi Tuna blackened and seared it comes with two hush puppies and my two sides were sweet potato fries and baked Mac and Cheese. My wife got the Deep South Gold entree. It’s chicken breast stuffed, fried, and has a crawfish sauce on it. Her two sides were fries and potato salad. The Tuna was good, but the Deep South Gold plate was better! Overall good experience and would definitely go back. I added pics of our plates and honestly you couldn’t go wrong with either one.
Fried eggplant was good, sweet potato fries..good, shrimp were fresh and very good, baked Mac was pretty good.....fried fish....hard pass....tasted like frozen white fish this area is LOADED with fresh wild caught catfish, disappointing that not many restaurants have it. This fish was rubbery and had a fishy smell to it. 5 stars if it were fresh local catfish! Nice little place, affordable and friendly.....just don 't get the fish.
I have just recently moved here and discovered this place on DoorDash. Let me tell you, I am so happy to have! I've gotten the turkey platter multiple times and it's like having a homecooked meal by family, feels like a warm hug! So thankful for this restaurant and the people who work there!! Stop by this place last year and forgot to leave a review. Was telling a friend about that Deep South Gold and had to post. 2 chicken breast with seafood stuffing. Mercy! This was so dang on good!
All the staff are great. I go for the Gumbo and to joke with the waitress. All the food is really good. Thank you for being open on a cold day and 2 other local places were closed.
Absolutely loved this place. A very nice Cafe with some great food. I had the shrimp pooboy and my wife had the lover and onions which was awesome
