I’m a little late in my review but my partner and I just celebrated our anniversary. I have always heard great things and was looking for a restaurant open for dinner on a Tuesday night, something surprisingly tricky in RVA. I was immediately impressed when I got a phone call the day before our reserved time asking if it was okay that they print a special message for us on our menus (I indicated on the reservation it was an anniversary celebration My positive feelings did not waver the day of. My boyfriend and I just went out for a fancy little date night and chose this place, never having been there before. We absolutely loved it. Everyone came up to us and was very kind. The food was amazing and we were able to take dessert home with us. The owner is very funny and pictures are offered in the restaurant. Loved this place. 100/10 recommend, if you don’t mind spending a little bit of money :
By far one of the best restaurants anywhere. The ambiance, food, and staff are second to none. I have sample many things on the menu but, it's the seafood that has me always coming back. The staff is well educated on the food and wine selections and shows pride and excellence in their profession. This is my family's favorite place to go to celebrate and treat ourselves.
Our friends come together every year and eat dinner together during the holidays and this time Bookbinders was chosen. The spirit of the season is on full display. It is a great place to gather for an amazing culinary experience. We had 8 people in our party and no one complaint... believe me never happened. Beautiful place and we will be back.
