We've been visiting Borges for over 20 years for meals out with the family, but haven't visited in a couple of years since before covid. The restaurant looks exactly the same! and the menu still contained old favourites the meat kebabs which are served with a sparkler. The menu is huge with LOTS of choice. There is a very small cocktail menu, which could be improved upon. A meal for 9 adults came to nearly £300! I think we ordered 5 starters to share and 5 desserts to share, plus maybe 7 8 alcoholic drinks plus a couple of soft drinks and a couple of coffees, so not bad value. I booked the function room for my daughter's 18th birthday party in September. The room was beautiful and the staff were fantastic! They made sure I had full access to the room all day so I could come and go to put up decorations. The room comes with its own DJ, which made things much easier and was also reasonably priced. The bar staff were very friendly and attentive, chatting with guests and ensuring my daughter had a great night. We had the option of bringing our own food or having the restaurant cater for us. I absolutely adore this restaurant and hadn't been in a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I quickly realized my worries were unfounded. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly like long-lost friends. The owner is charming, the staff is fantastic, and the food is simply outstanding. My 13-year-old devoured the parmo with enthusiasm, and my pasta was out of this world. Had a function here recently, was not totally happy with the service we received. The staff were very hit and miss with the attitude and almost every one present commented on this. The vibe we were given was not at all nice and it did in fact spoil the night. People who could legally drink were questioned as if they were doing something wrong but then later served with several drinks. It was brought to our attention at the end of the night that bottles of alcohol had been consumed off the premises on the road in front and this was brought to us as an accusation even though there were several members of the public in a drunk manner (due to the area) in front of the room that were not involved...

Came here for a big birthday meal with lots of family. Food was great but service was shocking! Inexperienced staff (all young girls) who clearly don’t enjoy their job. All looked as if they were chewing a wasp! They ruined the end of our evening with their disgusting attitudes because we decided to order more drinks after our meal! Slouching on the till, huffing and tutting and rushing to cash the till up to prevent us ordering more drinks. Tried having a laugh with them but they continued with their hissy fits. Pathetic. Will absolutely not be returning unless you start employing people who have a bit more about them!
This is my absolute favourite restaurant, the whole experience is absolutely faultless every single time we visit, piping hot food, excellent fast service, and a lovely warm welcome from the owner who is a lovely man. The food is delicious and there is something on the menu for everyone. Their garlic bread is the best I've ever tasted they seem to confit their garlic and spread the actual cloves on the bread and it's amazing. Their parmos are beautiful, and the home made chips are absolutely next level. I can't recommend this place highly enough, definitely worth a visit!
This is the first time I have been away with my husband since he had a lower limb leg amputation.The staf were so helpful and went out of their way to assist us in getting into the restaurant and we're so friendly and helpful until we left. The food was great, very tasty and hot I would totally recommend this place to Others, especially if you are going to see a show afterwards, the Arc is just a short walk or rather a push away. The food is lovely but we have not been for a couple of years due to staff constantly trying to get you out as quickly as possible once you have eaten we like to relax and chat after food but we were asked 3 times if we wanted more drinks it becomes really uncomfortable and the restaurant was quiet anyway ! We will stick with carpaccios from now on who do not torture you to leave no matter how busy they are….

1st time at Borge went for my daughter’s birthday staff couldn’t do enough for us and food was amazing would highly recommend a visit will definitely eat there again .
We are regulars at this restaurant! The parmo is the best and all the food is amazing, with very good and quick service. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
