After a 10 mile hike, we needed something to fill our bellies. For appetizers we ordered the Gado Gado and the Roti Prata. Both were delicious and I'd recommend. They were generous with the peanut sauce on the Gado Gado. I appreciate that. Our entrees were a Soto curry soup and Chicken Satay dish. For the chicken satay dish you can choose white/coconut/curry rice. I went with coconut rice. We were definitely content with our dish choices. Scrumptious dishes! ALL OF THEM. I felt like some Asian food that wasn't the usual go to's like Chinese, Thai , Filipino etc. I love Indonesian food and this spot popped up on my Yelp search. The location is amongst a great mixture of different and interesting cuisines. Parking was around on nearby streets and I was pleasantly surprised walking into the nicely painted and decorated interior. I was seated straight away and the servers were very attentive. My order of Roti Prata, Satay Beef and Rice and Nasi Campur were all delivered relatively quickly. I recently visited Borneo Kalimantan again and here's the latest update: The laksa was absolutely delicious, with a rich and comforting flavor. However, I felt it was missing that final perfect touch. Unfortunately, the roti was a letdown - it was a bit undercooked and too doughy, lacking the flaky texture I was expecting. The ambiance still exudes the charming vibes of Southeast Asia, and the service was attentive and ensured a pleasant dining experience. While not everything was perfect this time, I am excited to return and try out some other dishes. With a few adjustments, this restaurant could truly excel!
We arrived around 11:15 and the restaurant quickly filled up shortly after we were seated. I ordered the Nasi Lemak for $13.25, which was interesting to see the meat cut up instead of served as a whole drumstick. It was delicious though! I also had my favorite drink, Teh Tarik with grass jelly, for $4.75. It was not too sweet and the grass jelly complemented the tea perfectly. I had high hopes for this restaurant, expecting robust flavors and spices. However, the dishes were good but too mild for my liking. There was no wow factor or anything particularly memorable about the meal. Despite being unassuming and located on a main street, I was hoping for more based on the reviews. It wasn't bad, just not what I had anticipated. Next time, I'll probably opt for takeout for the dry food items like rice and noodles. The soup had a curry flavor, which is not my preferred taste.
Service was good but the food quality needs improvement. We ordered chicken Satay for appetizer and some chicken came out half raw (my friend bit into it before noticing). We asked to change the dish and they recognized the mistake and replaced it. The experience definitely ruined my appetite though, since I felt the urge to constantly check my food before putting into my mouth.
I really enjoyed the kwetiau goreng, giving it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. However, the es cendol only received a 2 out of 10 rating. The ice water was better and the service was just okay, receiving a 5 out of 10 rating. I hope that when I return to try more of their food, the service will improve.

Very yummy and authentic Malay indo Singaporean food. Everything was so yummy and flavorful. We came for an early dinner so they were not busy yet and the food came out fast.
