We were stayin in a motel right opposite Boston Pizza and so decided to order take out and go and collect it. They told us it would be 10-15 mins. I walked straight over there (it took me literally a minute) and waited for our meal. We both ordered the quinoa burgers with yam fries. Also a piece of chocolate cake to share. We also ordered a cesar salad. The meal cost around $55.00. When I arrived, about five minutes after I had ordered, I had to wait for the meal for another five or ten minutes. I was on vacation visiting my daughter and decided to go out for dinner. It was a very warm summer evening around 7 pm and most restaurants in this tourist town were booked. I saw the sign for Boston Pizza and decided to give it a try. I go to BP quit often in my home town and know the food to be pretty good. We walked in and I was surprised to see a lot of empty tables. This is an expensive middle of the road pasta place, with other items on the menu.The floor appeared to have not been vacuumed for about a week. We waited a long time for service and finally I asked if there were servers in our area. When the waitress came we was asked about the ingredients of a product, basically is there corn or corn flour in a bun, she had no idea and felt it was not important. When pushed, she went in back and came back to say corn is not something we list in our allergy book. We asked to see a manager and she had no clue either. Our son and I are vacationing in Parksville. We stopped into this BP for dinner late one evening last week after spending the day enjoying the area. The restaurant was closed but the bar area was still serving food. Because of the provincial liquor laws our 19 year old son could not order a beer with his dinner because he did not have proper ID with him. Although he did not enjoy a beer with his dinner, I appreciated this company and staff practicing their support for responsible drinking laws. It was a lesson in legalities and ethics for our son. 7 Pm and the town was shut down. Boston was open and the patio open. Water and drinks arrived quickly (we had been hiking) so we decided to split a salad and garlic toast then go from there. Chicken, bacon and all the right ingredients and huge, so huge we couldn't finish it, well and not have desert which we did. I asked for whipped cream in addition to the ice cream topping and they buried it in whipped cream. Good food reasonable prices and the local server gave us lots of information about events in the area.
The food was nothing special, the kids' meals were actually a little disappointing. The waitress seemed to want to be anywhere but there (never smiled once!) and we seemed to wait a long time for our food despite the restaurant not being full. They seem to do a brisk take-out business, that may be your best bet rather than eating in.
We were trying to find Lefty's but couldn't so went to Boston Pizza. Dinner was good, service as well. Smaller portion was just right. It may have sat under the warmer for a bit too long.
We always have a night out at Boston Pizza when we visit Parksville. They have a great staff and the meal is always good. My favourite is the flat bed pizza. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
