My son brought me to dinner in Boston Fish House here in Orlando Florida last night. I've got a dinner plate full of belly mussels and sea schalopps and 2 pages. We also have a garlic bread to share. He has Clam Chowder and a chicken plate. There was so much food that I brought leftovers home and threatened him when he touched it in the fridge. The food is so good. I had heard good things from this restaurant throught time and finally decided to give it a try. We were in the mood for seafood and looked forward to our meal.Sadly, the food did not live to the expectations. Everything seemed to come pre made or just put together and served. The lobster bisque was super thick and I could barely taste the lobster. Our meals came and another disappointment ? the lobster roll was small and the chilled Lobster salad was flavorless. They serve differently than most other restaurants. First you go to a station where they take your order, then you pay for the food, and then they show you to your table. Our food came quickly and it was all very good. We started our lunch with a cup of New England Clam chowder. Very good. Plenty of fresh clams. My wife had the mahi tacos and I had the battered and fried fresh oysters. Delicious! I had 2 sides...Boston baked beans and onion rings. the best fried seafood I found in the orlando subway. we are dozens of times here and it's always delicious. the fried garnels and the skallops are my two favorites. the twill rings are also amazing. it can order at peak times with a fairly long line, but it is worth it. I've been going to Bostons for about 30 years and I'm from Massachusetts. It is a like a little taste of home. I went twice this past week after now going for a while and the food was just as impeccable then as it was 30 years ago. Good job, Bostons Fish House!
Very Friendly Staff. Great food, best tasting seafood directly from New England in Orlando. Highly recommend. Make sure you go hungry. Large sized dinners. Smaller portions available. Whole belly clams, scallops, fish and the clam chowder excellent.
Best fish choices in town, always has been since they first opened. Always fresh and consistent. French fries, however, are like cardboard and not flavorful at all, but the onion rings and nuggets are fantastic.
