We've just returned home after having a sub-standard, overpriced breakfast here. The coffee was weak and warm and the food, just terrible. I payed just under $18 for 2 poached eggs slapped on two pieces of toast that were soggy from wet eggs, mushrooms that were tasteless and completely dried out and spinach that I expected to be wilted, but instead was just thrown raw over the concoction above. I ate one egg, no toast and I nibbled at the mushrooms and spinach: My plate went back stacked high with what I couldn't bring myself to eat. I wondered why there were so few people there and now I know why! We're locals and we'd vowed not to return to this restaurant after suffering a similar disapp...
We went to this cafe for a coffee and cake today. Although they were not busy we sat at a table that was not cleaned, even after the waitress took our order. We waited over half an hour and in that time received 1 toasted sandwich - made with the type of cheese that is wrapped in plastic and thin slices of loaf bread. No milkshake and no tea, coffee and cake appeared.We waited and waited and were ignored, finally we got up and left as we were fed up. We went to Wharf 1 and spent our money there instead.The service has always been bad here, but today it was non existent. We will not bother going here again, and won't recommend it to the many tourists who we see in our office who are going to...
We arrived looking forward to a great breakfast and ordered. After a short while we were told that they had run out of Gas but were getting it urgently replaced but within 30 minutes they could use alternative means to do our breakfasts so we decided to go off and explore for 30 minutes and head back for the delicious breakfast. Not so we were then told no Poached eggs were possible only Fried and one our group could not eat those so only option was breakfast with no eggs for hat person. It was about 1 hour before our meal emerged but they were decidedly cool not hot and we sadly decided we would not go back despite the fact that had the Gas not gone out it could have proven a good place for...
I thought the prices were over the top for what is on offer. I went for brunch and couldn't believe the prices (should have checked Tripadvisor before I decided to eat here). The meal itself was well cooked and my eggs were cooked the way l requested. The tea was not hot enough, seems this is an issue with this place when you look at the other reviews. Staff were friendly and took my order quickly. But this might be because there wasn't a lot of people eating here, and this was on a Sunday at about 10.30am.I've had lunch at the other cafe in the other part of the gardens and loved it, I think I'll go to that one next time I'm at the botanic gardens.

We ordered two coffees and waited for almost half an hour before questioning the waitress who then managed to find our order. There were only around 10 people in the restaurant at the time. One order was for extra hot flat white, which came out lukewarm at best. On paying, I mentioned to the young man on the register that we had asked for extra hot and only received lukewarm and he just shrugged and took my money. The entire coffee remained on the table.Long wait for very little.
Great place, beautiful views, no PayPass option is available at this cafe however not a big deal. We received friendly full table service. The coffee here is very good and we did not have to wait long for our meals. Very happy with the food, absolutely delicious! Nice relaxing atmosphere.
Had a great lunch in this restaurant among the plants and trees of this park. The barramundi and salad was fantastic especially with a glass of wine. I topped it of with a nice Spicy Apple with Vanilla and Ice Cream.
I didn't think the restaurant was as bad as others are making it out to be. It's a small cafe, though I'm noticing a trend of them running out of items. While we were there they ran out of scones.

Good coffee and great food. a great location and a cool spot to rest. We shared the Stockman's Platter again and took half of it away for dinner. The pate is yummy.
The location is nice but that's about it. Service is sparse and the food is a letdown--bland and uninteresting; nothing I couldn't have made at home.
