Sommerfest and Oktoberfest have grown to be FANTASTIC over the many years I've been attending. Many vendors, shorter lines, plenty of port-o-potties. The band that play are always excellent. Very good food and beer selection, and Swissbakers pretzels. Burger stand for the kids. Always excellent pastries sold by BSV. Potato pancake line is shorter by far than it used to be. A few cider, hard seltzer, wine, and German liquor options also. Activities for the kids... great covered festival so its manageable even when rainy. This restaurant is a fantastic choice for those seeking an authentic German experience with great drinks and dishes. They also host entertaining Oktoberfest events. However, the Christmas market was overcrowded and disappointing. It would benefit from implementing ticketing, increasing the number of vendors, and adding food trucks.
The restaurant has a fantastic outdoor area with a mix of sun and shade, perfect for festivals. We arrived early and had no trouble finding parking. The venue provided ample clean portable bathrooms for guests. The food was delicious and there were plenty of drink choices available.
Had a great time at BSV. My family and friends went to the Oktoberfest celebration and I can't tell you how much fun we had. Good food and beverages as well as good people. I highly recommend everyone to check this place out!!
