You’ll likely be taken in by the atmosphere walking over from Sophia Gardens. The beer garden out front and the building itself create a convincing old pub feel, and to be fair, it does that part very well. As a student walking to my friend's house after classes at Cardiff Met, I often crossed this place, always thinking it was a coffee shop. Only today, after two years, did I realize it’s actually a pub! I decided to stop in and soak up the atmosphere, and I must say — the vibe is fantastic. The customer service was really disappointing. I received a glass of wine that was corked or off, and they refused to replace it. I ended up leaving it untouched. I went to another pub afterward and enjoyed a fantastic glass of Pinot Grigio blush. The management was lacking, and I won't be coming back. Atmosphere is lovely, brought to life by its creative decorations and music. A newly employed staff member greeted us warmly and was swift with the service. We had the buttermilk chicken wings with the sticky Korean sauce and were blown away with the flavour. I highly recommend, especially if you are about to get on the coach near by and need a bite before hitting the road.

Eaten here numerous times before but today was one of the worst meals ever (and I ate at Reading services yesterday! . Food was burnt, cold and the flavour quite sickening.
Beautiful venue. Sadly the robotic staff with no personality let's it down. Food is bad and long wait time. Poor management is clearly the problem, unfortunately...
What happened?? This used to be my go to place for good food and good beer? Needs some tlc, cleaning and management that actually likes beer! Sort it out, please!
Kitchen not open on Saturday reservation only. No signage, we only found out when we tried to order! Make sure you check before sitting down.
