We visited this restaurant for breakfast for the first time, having always gone to places in the highlands before. This time, we wanted to try something closer to home. The food was fantastic, but unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. Our server, a Latina woman wearing glasses whose name I didn’t catch, was not attentive. We were quite tired and waiting patiently, but they skipped our table and took orders from other guests who arrived 5 to 10 minutes after us. When we addressed this, the server responded with a bit of an attitude. It was disappointing that we had to flag down staff multiple times just to get their attention. We ordered the big sampler plate, super large portions of nachos, just beans and cheese, not so much of the other appetizers. It was very large enough for 5-6 people. I also ordered the mother of all burritos( the biggest one) very disappointed. It was loaded with beans,cheese, onions, bellpepper, and rice, and only 4-5 small strips of meat.
The majority of the staff tend to be unfriendly and often serve with a bit of an attitude. If you visit for a late breakfast—what they refer to as lunchtime—you can expect tough cookies and gravy, and the potatoes are often underwhelming. However, when the food is fresh and nicely prepared, it really can be quite delicious!
The diner offers standard fare that can be inconsistent in service. Breakfast options are just average, but Taco Tuesday is enjoyable. I usually love Brandon's, but the first time in this place. It's a tight squeeze, maybe wait for seats. The food was generous, but the Verde sauce was different from the vineyard place, and I live for her Chili Verde?
The food is fantastic, and the customer service is consistently outstanding. There's a wide variety on the menu, so there's something for everyone. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable!
I really appreciate the new decor, the food is consistently fresh, and the coffee is excellent (even if you’re not a fan of specialty coffee). The servers are always attentive and friendly.
