We went to Brandos for a special occasion we ordered 2 appetizers one was a pasta pockets with a little ricotta and sausage inside deep fried and grilled octopus they were both mediocre at best I mean really, one of us had a stuffed veal chop which was very good and I ordered a special a pork chop deep fried with bolognese sauce it was not good heavy on the cream the pasta with marinara sauce the sauce was not tasty it’s better at one of there other . restaurants I then ordered a veal dish with mushrooms again struck out I ate a few pieces then had it packed I surely wasn’t going to send back another mean it was bad enough to do it the first especially since it was a very special occasion an...
Had high expectations for this place. Unfortunaely, it fell short. Very pricey. $275 dinner for 2) At best the food was okay, but far from special. Ordered the tomohawk steak special. The steak was supposed to be 40 ounces and it certainly was not and the lobster mac and cheese was pathetic. 5 small pieces of lobster the size of a dime at best. If they would have just done a little better with that accomanyment it would have went a long way. Spiedini was good, but not great as was the pistachio icecream cake. Left feeling like they chinced on that dish for $175. There are better options out there. Anjelicas or the Poached Pear are two that come to mind.
Don is a valuable asset to this restaurant, he is a fantastic waiter. He is personable, knowledgeable, and provides great service. However, Natalie was the opposite. It is unclear why the owner would place her in a waitress or manager role given her personality. This was the first time I have had such a mixed experience with customer service at a restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated 5 out of 5.
My experience at this restaurant was deceitful - I was double-charged $300.00 on my credit card! I reached out to the restaurant and spoke with manager Susan, who was unkind. Despite being the manager, Susan refused to acknowledge the mistake. I will never return to Fire again. From start to finish, our experience at this restaurant was exceptional. The dinner was fantastic, with dishes such as spedini, scrumptious scallops on top of risotto, and a special of gnocchi and jumbo shrimp. Our server, Teresa, was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
I was extremely let down by the food and do not believe it was worth the price. The service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Some recommended dishes include the Bone-in Veal Parmesan, Stuffed Veal Chop, and Grilled Octopus.
