Fuimos a comer domingo, nos pusieron dentro sin llegar el aire acondicionado y con un ventilador pequeño que teníamos que ir moviendo porque la mesa era bastante larga y no nos llegaba a todos. Del servicio es lo único que no tenemos queja ya que fue todo bastante rápido. Y la comida, bueno... pedimos pulpo a la gallega y no estaba tan meloso como nos gusta ya que estamos acostumbrados a ir a otro gallego que el pulpo es espectacular, el lacón nos quedamos sin probarlo ya que por la pinta lo tuvieron que retirar, pedimos tallarines y le faltaba sabor, un poquito de ajo y perejil o algo a la salsa. Y luego pedimos una mariscada que no estaba del todo mal pero tampoco estaba de 10.
We are staying in Sant Adria but had been going into Barcelona for dinners. We decided to try out this local spot and we were so delighted. Lovely servers who did their best with our language barrier. An English menu was available to help. Portion sizes were very large and everything we ordered was delicious and obviously homemade. Fried anchovy, croquettes and mussels were all excellent but the real winner was the sirloin which was tender, beautifully seasoned and perfect medium rare. The cost was very inexpensive compared to Barcelona including a very good 1/2 litre of house wine for 3 euro! Highly recommend.
Unfortunately I tried to visit few times, once the food came really bad, probably because was too late for lunch, and last time I ordered a solomillo (filet mignon) and they served me a simple piece of beef (tasty tough) but I ordered and paid for what I ordered. Asked the manager to check the ordered as it came wrong, she tried to give me a lecture about the filet mignon’s cut, which is my favorite cut. Anyway, I just paid and decided that I would avoid it going forward.
Estuve hace tiempo y comí de menú calidad precio muy recomendable, esta vez al ser agosto solo tenían carta, la calidad del producto muy buena. Dos bistecs gallegos con patata, pan tostado 4 cervezas, y dos cafés 36 euros.
