We made a reseervation a week in advance and were told it had to be on the terrace (sidewalk of a busy street) Inside was set aside for large groups. We paid almost 80 Euros for lunch for 2 and the only good things were the wine (our choice) and the tomato salad. At their suggestion we ordered cigalas for 2 (8.50 each) and an entrecote. I asked for the chuleton Gallego but the manager said it was not good saying it was tough and full of nerves. The entecote wasa tough and full of nerves. Por motivos de salud, mi mujer y yo teníamos que permanecer una semana en Alcoy. Preguntamos por un lugar para comer y nos recomendaron el restaurante Brasil. El resultado....¡¡un acierto total!! El restaurante está siempre a tope (por lo que es aconsejable reservar), sin embargo el servicio es de DIEZ. Quique no sólo te ilustra sobre la elaboración de los platos sino que además te hace sentir como un cliente VIP. En lo referente a la comida, una gran variedad, con muy buena elaboración y excelente relación calidad/precio. Como tenemos que volver a Alcoy, está claro cuál va a ser el restaurante dónde vamos a ir. Sin duda, un lugar para recomendar.
We ate on a Monday night so the restaurant was quiet. The food was freshly cooked. We had the tapas menu and liked the liver with egg on toast and the sardines in particular. The dessert wine was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient.
Best meal we experienced in Costa Blanca area. The prawns were delicious, salad fresh and so appetising. First class service from owner with local recommendations.
