The restaurant has around 70 seats but only 5-7 staff members, including managers and cooks, which made them very understaffed. After we ordered, we were informed that there would be a long wait. Additionally, there was an oven by the bar, and we watched as they heated up French toast for diners. Does that mean it's not fresh? I'm really puzzled. I’ll attach a picture below.
my family and I visited dc and searched for a place for 7 of us to have breakfast. the staff here was very friendly and went out of the way to quickly sit together for us. I ordered the avocado toast and it was the best avocado toast I ever had crisp bread, ripe avocados and perfectly boiled eggs. I would definitely return.
this place lies below the Kaiser Hospital and was delicious. they had eaten, but I asked if I could only get a coffee and baked and they said of course! the prices were reasonable (about $3 for coffee and $3 for muffin,) the workers were super friendly and the room was really nice and quiet.
Nice selection for breakfast and/or brunch. The staff was very friendly. The place is clean. The food was good. This place gets very busy. Come early. This place is fantastic for brunch! For just $30, they served me an incredible spread. We enjoyed coffee, mimosas, a basket of French pastries, and a delightful croissant filled with omelet, avocado, and cheese. They also offered bread with butter and jam. So delicious!
The restaurant sits among the best hotels in DC. They all have great restaurants but we found their service slow on a busy week during the labpr shortage. Bread and Chocolate stands out for quality and service. I particluarly liked my egg sandwich.
