We had a blast in this little shop! We bought so many breads and pastries and they were delicious!!! The shop is small, but when you enter you get to watch the bakers through windows making the breads and pastries and pulling fresh ones out of ovens. Theyhost a variety of savory and sweet treats. They also serve crafted coffee and tea beverages that can be customized. The innerstore also has a large assortment of pickled foods, fresh dried pastas, oils, herbs and much more. If you want a neat littlebakery that makes you feel like you're a world away stop here!
I stopped by this restaurant on my way home from American University, and it was absolutely the best breakfast place I've encountered in the city so far. The atmosphere is delightful, and they have a wonderful selection of items available. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. My mom and I left with two gourmet bagel sandwiches and a few pastries to take with us. I can’t wait to make this a regular stop when I move to the city!
My only complaint is that you’re not in Baltimore! I absolutely love this place. The salads, coffee, and bread are all excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I really enjoy the ambiance. Bread Furst is a unique bakery that stands out from the rest. In addition to their freshly baked bread, they offer a wide variety of local pastas, sauces, dried fruits, and much more. The staff is friendly, and there are plenty of options to choose from. They also have outdoor dining available, which is a wonderful perk when the weather is nice.
I’m thrilled to see that Mark was the 2017 James Beard award winner for Best Baker! I absolutely love the Jambon Fromage served on their baguette. The breads are perfectly caramelized, resulting in a deep color and rich flavor.

You have to go there! I had a butter and jelly biscuit, and it was the best I've ever tasted! Also, make sure to try the small bites at the counter—they're delicious!
