Plenty of opportunity for improvement. Breakfast at 10AM on a holiday weekend. Waited 10 minutes to be sat. Limited staff not a lot of organization. Waited another 10 minutes for a server to come.Cluttered space no clear theme. Random food and beverage equipment stored in public view/ walkways etc. no bus boy, as no patrons could be sat in the dining area because no tables were clean. After spending a decade in Memphis, I thought my standards for shrimp and grits were set impossibly high – until I discovered this gem! I ordered the jerk shrimp with cheesy grits, and it was absolutely fantastic – a solid 10 out of 10, truly 'slap ya mama' good! The breakfast potatoes were seasoned to perfection, and the chicken gravy with biscuits? Just divine! The authentic Southern flavors and outstanding customer service completely transported me. I can't believe I had been missing out on this place! If you haven't been to the Breakfast Bar of MN, do yourself a favor and go – don’t wait like I did. I'm already looking forward to trying more items from their menu!
The Breakfast Bar truly embodies southern hospitality! The staff was incredibly attentive and provided excellent customer service. My birthday brunch was delightful; we ordered shrimp and grits, collard greens, Thai chicken wings, and mac and cheese, along with a nice bottle of champagne and fresh pineapple juice mimosas. To top it all off, the staff even celebrated my birthday with a complimentary red velvet cupcake! If you find yourself in the downtown area, I highly recommend this place.

The breakfast bar has southern hospitality the staff was very attentive large customer service. My birthday brunch was wonderful we ordered the (Shrimp grits) (collard greens chickens Thai wing and Mac n cheese) with a beautiful bottle of champagne and fresh pineapple juice (mimosas) the breakfast bar staff even happy birthday to me with w/complementary red velvet cupcake!. If you're in downtown, I recommend this facility.
I had their delicious biscuits and chicken gravy. Fluffy biscuits. Savory creamy gravy with a perfect Cajun nod.Owner was warm and welcoming, letting me know there would be a wait because I didn’t have a reservation. It was a short wait.Friendly patrons. I waited about 15 minutes to get seated, even though there were plenty of open tables. The hostess didn't seem to care much. It took another 20 minutes to receive my coffee. The waitress was very friendly and did a great job, but she was the only one serving all the tables. However, the food was really good!
I was really looking forward to some good chicken and waffles today. The establishment was very slow and so was the service. The chicken and waffles came out rather cold but the presentation was at least decent. I would not try again.

Everthing was so DELICIOUS, exciting atmosphere. Constantly busy. Didn't wait long for a seat or the food. You gotta try the fried lobster tail!!! Staff was all extremely pleasant.Thanks Jeff, Breakfast Bar, and staff
This is the best breakfast spot in Minneapolis! And those grits... MMM... so delicious! The staff is friendly, and there's always a great atmosphere!
